Cosd
Do gun safes have to stay metal sides on the inside? I'm always clanging my guns putting them inside. Would it be ok to line the sides with some 6mm hard foam? I do keep some vp90 rust inhibitor in there also if that makes a difference. humperdingle
I'd say you could line it with pink velour if you want, mate. Might get a few funny glances from the FEO though!
RC45
Don't see why not, I would go to B&Q and buy some of that foam matting they put under Laminate flooring. Phil

Glenshooter
I spend an enjoyable day a few years ago with an off-cut strip of very thin carpet - prob only 5mm of so thick and managed to cover the whole of the inside of my cabinet. IIRC , I used spray adhesive to stick the carpet to the metal.
Windy
Due to living in modern new build house, my cab lies flat on the floor. I bought some egg box type foam (like the type found in gun cases) and lined the bottom (rear side) of the cab, so my gun lies nicely on it. Might try and find something thin to cover the sharpish edges.
