countryman
hi I've recently bought a used Beretta Teknys. I had my first real shoot with it yesterday and overall I'm very pleased with it, while cleaning out the barrels I found two roundish marks about halfway down the barrel. I've tried all the usual ways to clean them out, but they just won't move surely these can't be pits. They appear to be very dark in colour and they do not smudge at all when you try to clean them. The gun is not very old and the overall condition is very good. Any thoughts please. Chris
MC
They are the gas vents for the cycling mechanism, they are meant to be there and should be kept clean. Use a pipe cleaner or a .17 bristle brush bent to a 90 degree angle.
Mungler
LOL I did this with my first AL391. Looked down the barrel saw "pitting", thought I bought a wrong 'un. A day of cleaning and "pitting" still there. Worry not, they are the gas vents that feed the cycling mechanism and I bet you have already cleaned them enough

countryman
I'm on a roll today, I called GMK and asked them if they would redo my action for me as it's just starting to flake. Their reply was, you bought it like this so no we're not going to do anything about it. You just can't beat that good old-fashioned service.
