THE KEYSERSZOSE
Ive been shooting for just over a year with a .22 Ruger and Patriot 5 shot muzzle loader pistol. got bored with just banging away so decided to try shotguns. Now Im really fired up and love the sport. After spongeing off others for their guns Ive now bought a Remington 11/87 semi that I just love. Very comfortable and seems just right for me. Had problems with cartridges but now all seems OK. As a newbie and posting to introduce myself - Midlands, Norton Shooting Club Worcester, average shot - I just thought I would take the opportunity to ask for advice on the 11/87. I clean it every time I shoot but Im a little worried about stripping it down past removing the barrel, do I need to go further than this. I clean the gas ports but is there a special way to do this or is it just poke a stick in and waggle it about. Does anyone have advice on shooting with the 11/87. Im not good at clay shooting but hit 29 out of 60 after a couple of weeks. Now the big question is that I have £800 burning a hole in my pocket. I want an o/u shotgun, everyone says get a Beretta but is it possible to get a good one for this price. I want to stick to all forms of clay shooting so which would be the best gun for this. Last question, if I increased my budget what could I / should I get for say £1200. By the way, good to meet you all. regards John
