paulos
As per title Being held from 21st-23rd August at the National Clay Shooting Centre @ Bisley. For any of the skeet bashers, it would be a good opportunity to show everybody how easy it is to shoot 100 straight

paulos
I hope so, I had a 98,97 and 95 at the three North of England Selections so would be gutted to fall at the final hurdle!

Chard
I'm no good at skeet I feel hemmed in. It feels like shooting at saucers and plates in a restaurant full of people Good luck chap, just reverse that downward trend of 98,97,95. For any of the skeet bashers, it would be a good opportunity to show everybody how easy it is to shoot 100 straight my prediction: 1, there will be several 100 straights 2, there will be a shoot off 3, it will be won by someone with no hair or grey hair not that skeet is at all repetitive or predictable, just like the targets <bdum tisch> Edited July 31, 2009 by Mungler

paulos
Its just off the M40 near Wycombe and the cost for 200 Birds/Target is £120. Only a fiver more than the 150 skeet which is currently being shot at Doveridge, so good value in comparison
MC
120 quid for 200 birds? jeezz I thought the British open sporting was dear at 53 for a 100. Why is skeet so much dearer? it isn't even like the need imagination setting the stands or loads of ref's and scorers.

paulos
My thoughts exactly. The World Skeet at Doveridge costs £115 for 150 birds - £35 of which goes into the prize pot - so what exactly are you getting for the remaining £80??? The British cost £42 to enter but thankfully I get that reimbursed. Most registered 100 skeet shoots are about £30-£32 to enter so I suppose another tenner for a national championship isn't too bad providing the payout is good... Dunkield
Maybe it's beacuse all the clays get broken, so they can't re-use any
MC
Or possibly as they end up having so many shoot offs that you pay for an extra few rounds at the start

paulos
With one extra round, and then sudden death from station 4. Never takes too long
