Barley in N.iRELAND

It seems that the harvest is slower /later this year. I remember shooting over barley in the last week or two of July last year, yet the same farm has only yesterday cut one field and a quarter of another and the combine sitting waiting. I know the weather affects all these things, but some of the other farms that I shoot on are weeks away from harvesting and they all were much more advanced last year

Any one else finding this

saw a field cut near ballymoney this week , called in with the farmer he said no shooting and saw a field yesterday near castlerock that was cut and 100s of crows where feeding in it , but most of the fields arnt cut yet round my way plus fields that had barley last year and gave me a lot of shooting once a patch had been laid down dont seem to be getting hammered by the crows this year :good:
