Ballymac
It seems that the harvest is slower /later this year. I remember shooting over barley in the last week or two of July last year, yet the same farm has only yesterday cut one field and a quarter of another and the combine sitting waiting. I know the weather affects all these things, but some of the other farms that I shoot on are weeks away from harvesting and they all were much more advanced last year Any one else finding this

monkeyboots
saw a field cut near ballymoney this week , called in with the farmer he said no shooting and saw a field yesterday near castlerock that was cut and 100s of crows where feeding in it , but most of the fields arnt cut yet round my way plus fields that had barley last year and gave me a lot of shooting once a patch had been laid down dont seem to be getting hammered by the crows this year

Fat Dog
Fields of winter barley cut in the last couple of weeks in around Gilford and Magheralin. Best sport at the mo for me is over standing barley. Pigeons havent been showing much interest in the stubbles that I shoot over so far.
