'Best' make of semi-auto

After some initial teething problems with my Camo SX3 (I was using the wrong cart`s), can`t fault it :good:

If you want a mid range gun on a budget (mine cost me £815 brand new with the Winchester warranty) can`t beat it for the money. Looks the biz!

Pal says the Beretta Ulrika is tops, it probably is, but it costs a bit more..................end of day, you pays ya money, you get what ya pay for

Hope this helps.......

Sweet, thanks for all the information guys. :good:

stuck an extra full extended choke in it and was absolutely smashing the pigeons out of the sky with it last week!!!
Nice. Is there a benefit to extended chokes over the internal ones, or is it just preference?

Hi

I had a Remington 1100 and a 11-87 Special Purpose which were both Section 1. They were brilliant when they were running right and fancy single shot shotguns when they weren't.

I have just sold them both and bought a Beretta Xtrema2 which I am having made Section 1 and I will be picking up on Saturday  . I had a play with it before the work was done and although he kicked a little more that the heavy Remys was a real dream to handle. I'm all excited like a kid at Christmas :)

BENELLI MONTEFELTRO GREAT SEMI AUTO FIRES ALL CARTRIDGES I HAVE PUT IN IT 24G AND 28G 65MM CARTS NO PROBLEM

I got to go with Basset on that. ive only ever owned one semi auto and thats my Benelli Montefeltro. ive not had a single problem with it and not a single jam. its been totally reliable and just takes a minute to strip and clean. its a lovely gun to shoot too. i keep hearing people say that Benelli's have hard recoil but i really dont know where that comes from. mine is a pleasure to shoot and doesn't recoil any harder than any other semi auto or O/U i have shot in the past. i think felt recoil comes down to gun fit. i would recommend Benelli to anyone, ive not got a bad word to say about them. i will say tho i have not tried carts lighter than 30g.

I think my winchester sx3 flanigun is a great gun. Ultra lightweight, fires all different loads as it comes with two pistons, one for light loads and one for heavy loads.

Supposed to be the fastest shooting shotgun see youtube.

Colour is a bit like Marmite! i think it looks good for a semi as they have bit of an old man image.

I love quality, that's why I could never get an Escort. Too many have problems. I WAS Beretta all the way, with both me and the wife starting with 303's and 391's ... in fact we still own a 391 each and they really are fantastic guns. We put 28g shot through them al day without cleaning them and without any problems.

However I now am the VERY proud owner of a SX-3 Flanigun .... in full-fat 12-shot version .... and my god .. .what a gun. It is SO good I would love to get another standard 3-shot one for those clay grounds that look at you funny when you pull out a gun with a stupidly big mag tube on it .... if only I could afford it!

As with Marmite ...... I love the SX-3 Flanigun.

However as my dear old Aunt used to say "it takes all sorts to make a world!" so what ever you get enjoy it. Just don't rush into it and get one YOU want and are happy with.
