Dodgemball
I'm getting one or the other but need some advise as to which to get. Hopefully some of you out there know of a few reasons to go for one rather than the other. Generally used as a pigeon, wildfowling and sporting clay gun. Gordon R
I have shot both, but would chose the Winchester - far less recoil. Better still - get a mint SX2 for half the price of the other two. Mark Sw had one - replaced it with a Beretta Teknys and has had to endure jam after jam, corrosion on the receiver etc.
Pest control
i have both and agree with the last comment less recoil and better build quality. saying that im selling the sx3 and keeping the m2.
BlaserF3
I used to have a Teknys and that was nothing but trouble too. At the moment I am shooting an Urika2 and I think I have had a failure to feed twice in 5000 shots. Beretta build quality is not always the same from gun to gun
neil smith
saying that im selling the sx3 and keeping the m2. That says it all really the Benelli will still be running long after the gas gun has spluttered to a stop M2 all the way !!!!!!!!!!! ziplex
My M2 gets a bit of a rough deal as a pigeon gun, gets covered in mud on the foreshore but it never misses a beat and is very easy to keep clean. It does kick a bit but you really don't notice it when shooting at live game or clays. I did shoot a friends SBE2 with 3 1/2" cartridges on some waste ground and thought the recoil was 'noticeable' , shooting it on the farm at pigeons felt no different to any other shotgun though. I have a Browning o/u but I always take the Benelli and I doubt i'll ever get rid of it. It is on the small/short side so try it first, if it fits it's very pointable. chrispti
I have tried both, not much in it really, I did prefer the SX3 though
Dodgemball
Fantastic response guys thanks for your replies. I must confess I think I'm drawn more towards the SX3. Edited August 11, 2009 by Dodgemball
