wy111
how do you go about finding if there is a local syndicate to you? As i wouldn't mind joining a small run syndicate Drive into the country on an afternoon an listen, then follow your lugs. Only joking. Try "Go Shooting", on Basc website. Surely, you know someone else who shoots round your way, bite the bullet(sic) ask them. Ask at your local gun shops , butchers/gamedealers, agricultural merchants, farmers(You never know, may get your own permission)............just ask anywhere that might be shooting related around you. Most syndicates have a nucleus of members, with 1 to 3 replacement places every year. Ok, maybe a bit late now, but if like on my shoot, I tell all regular beaters to bring a gun, just in case a member can't make it at the last moment. So, if you get some beating in, and a vacancy comes up, you "SHOULD" be an ideal candidate. That's how most of my few vacancies get filled if needed AND the adult beaters don't get paid either!!!!!!!! Maybe not a lot of help, but just my advice. Dave its not the permission im after i can go shoot pigeons , foxes and any other vermin whenever i want . The problem round here is that it is full of large estates that sell them for very large sums , and no small friendly run syndicates. I am a member of basc so i will have a look on there website to see if i find anything there cheers roadkill

henry d
Try your local gunshop as they may supply cartridges to small syndicates, local feed merchants as they may supply pheasant feed to them etc. Best of luck
Baldrick
You could try this website too, although it is more geared towards let days: http://www.gunsonpegs.com/pages/home/index.php Word of mouth is the best means of finding a space, but you may want to keep your eye on the classifieds in Shooting Times too.
