i have two labs that are kenneled out side i use blankets for there bedding but its a pain having to keep washing them what do others use for there bedding

I have seven kennelled outside, just plastic dog boxes in summer, and loads of shredded paper in the winter. They love it.

I use Vet bed in the summer which is screwed down,

 

And shreded paper in the winter.

i was thinking about using straw but i was talking to a chap the other day and he uses wood shaving

I used to use straw but it's a bit dusty and makes the dog's eye's weep

You can get dustless wood shavings and straw used for rodent bedding - helps stop any respiratory issues.

i personaly us shredded tissue paper in the shooting months as i find if my dogs go in wet and dirty within half hour there clean and dry and its also worm i dont use straw as i was told by a vet straw can be a big carrier of fox mange

I also use shredded paper (Horse bedding), I get mine from woodland enterprises Hungerford - but believe they have outlets all around the country. Works out at approx £4.50 a bale and lasts for months!

this may sound daft but i was thinking of using shredded paper for bedding but my springer will eat anything and was concerned incase he decided the bedding would be better inside him rather than under him! :blink:

tried all sorts with my russels,******* pull it out and drag it all round garden,even bought to pillows from gamefair,and they ate them in 2 days,they sleep in empty kennel boxes now lol.
