We visited a farm in Cayton near Scarborough this week while on holiday and the freshly cut fields were loaded with corvids and pigeons. Don’t know if anyones shooting it but might be worth knocking on and asking, it’ll be worth it 👍🏻

As usual for me, from late April ’til the end of June I study the cuckoo. I’ve done this for more years than I care to remember and have always found the bird fascinating. I monitor pipit nests during this time and this year once again was lucky enough to have a female cuckoo visit one of the nests I’ve been watching. 👍🏻
