How would you protect the wood in the checkering?

Ok so oil the stock using CCL oil (avoiding the checkering), and use wax on the checkering is that correct? Love this forum some great help and advice.

Ok ive got some CCL gunstock condition oil to do the wood on the gun, when reading the instruction it tells you to avoid the checkering. Ok so my question is what do i apply to the checkering to protect the wood?

Hi I'm looking for someone in the Durham area that is willing to take out a novice shooter, ive been shooting clays but had no field experience, I have shotgun certificate and fully insured. I have my own gun and some gear( all be it basic) would be interested in pigeon, rabbit or game. In return I do have permission to shoot on farmland in the Durham area. PM me if interested.
