Are there any 12 gauge shotguns that can accept any 12 cartridge?

You will only need a 3.5 inch gun if you intend on doing some foreshore wildfowling using steel shot , other than that I cannot think of nothing else where a 3 inch chamber would not be plenty.

 

If you are only going to shoot clays a 2 3/4 gun is all you need .

A 31/2" over and under is the only gun that will fire all 12bore carts as most 31/2" semi autos won't shoot true 21/2" carts.

Including 2"...... there are a few about browning and fabarm both do 3 1/2" OU but realistically a 3" chambered Steel proof OU will take any quarry you are likely to find. That said 3" are only really need for fowling and you can always shoot bismuth...
