Fox pro caller

Ok thanks for your tip.

I just wondered if you expected to get a quick reaction from Charlie or more of a prolonged wait.

Thanks

I have found that it varied every time I have used mine. Once, when I switched it on and placed it out in the field, by the time I got back to where I planned to lay in wait (around 80 yards) there was a fox already near the caller. Other times, I have had to wait for half hour or more, and sometimes, nothing showed up at all.

I wish some times it's three hours :ninja:

Maybe half an hour was a bit 'conservative'. If nothing appears after 30 -45 minutes, I move the caller to a different location.

Stick it out a fox can do a 60 mile round journey in a night , a bait station helps with this as you no they have been at some point :good:

As already said sometimes its instant , other times its hours ......

+1. Though I dont have the patience to wait an hour though so normally I ll give it 10 mins and then move on. Different calls, different volumes for different times of the year. Handy to have a couple of mouth callers and the trusty back of your hand as well (one you cant forget or loose). I had a hand squeak last night and within 30 seconds a nice big dox fox was within 50 yards (75 grain hornady .243 sst made short work of him).

Hi don't over use it. as others have said. The other night had a fox sit behind two wire fences used to be a hedge. It was sitting listing to mouse distress call about 120 yards. Watching with spotter then drone pro 10 for around 15 min going back and forth. I could not get a safe shot at it, finally winded me I think,As It made its way with a house behind it no safe shot, there will be another night. As said be patient use sparingly change calls start low.Always be set up before switching on, been caught out before walked out placed caller switched on back to car had a quick look fox coming in gun still in slip, time I was ready fox long gone, never been caught out again.
