She doesn't want poison as she has a cat and a dog, and rather strangely quite likes rats as she thinks they have 'nice faces'! Anyhow, each to their own. She has asked me if I could live catch them for releasing outside. I am currently searching for some squirrel traps we have up at the farm, but has anyone had this request before or can anyone suggest a practical method for the live rapping of rats? I was just about to edit original post as it occurred to me that it may not even be legal to release caught rats, but it obviously is; thanks again. pestbry Posted September 28, 2016 Report Share Posted September 28, 2016 Not legal to catch & rellease any Vermin, with rat traps if Live catch them must be dispatched and dissposed of . Break back traps kill humanely , then disspose of . If you live cage trapped rats in loft then realeased outside near said loft , the rats will return to the loft . Making it hard re capature again .
