I bought an Escort Magnum 5 shot, and then purchased the conversion kit to make it an 8 shot. It was easy to do, and the kit cost me around £25 ( 6 years ago)
lister22
nothing to stop you doing it yourself if able?
Breastman
Ring your FLD. Some are happy for you to do it and sign it onto you own certificate, some insist that an RFD does it.
tigger got stichs
the bits for the conversion are on order I can fit them myself and my local rfd can transfer from sgc to fac on inspection of completion cost £55ish
ninja_fox
Surely you don't need an RFD involved if you can do the work yourself, especially if this just involves changing mag tubes? Buy the sec 2 and put it on the SGC, when you want to convert it transfer it to yourself and write it onto the FAC, then do the conversion. No different to if you were buying a sec 1 shotgun privately. I expect that it's a different story if you want to put it back to sect 2... tigger got stichs
I can do the conversion but they like the rfd to swop the gun from cert to cert as I am converting a gun I already own ?
