Renewal applications went in with South Yorks mid January and not having heard from them after12 weeks and 10 days before expiry I contacted them by email to prompt them and also notify of additional permission, home visit from FEO a couple of days later who intimated it could be a further 8 to 10 weeks before processed and received. Not wanting to be in possession of firearms with out license I requested a section 7 certificate (as advised by BASC) again by email Renewals arrived two days later.....seems some forces are "busier" than others due to low staffing levels and cut backs but it takes as much time and effort to grant a section 7 as it does to "fast track" the original application ....

Cheers, That answers that one then as looking for something to cope with the slippery mud, got pirrelli scorpions on at present which are the second set on my xtrail and which have been OK up to now but finding myself having to cope with more wet and mud and off road conditions than I used to when first started out and need something a bit more aggressive.

Lots of members use the AT's and swear by them, looking for some 225 65 17 and considering the Dunlop Grandtrek SJ6, Both similar tread so should do the same job and about the same price all bar a tenner each... Anyone running Dunlops that can can vouch for them Cheers

Thats my first job and presently in progress, just taken some photos before rebuilding and enquiring on here so as to get a hold of some ready for if not successfull, not the first time they have been looked at in 42 years I suspect ...

afternoon guys, just been out for a round of clays with my trusty old Browning (1973 Liege), suffered a couple of "misfires" due to light strikes, now stripped down for a clean and investigation to find old and tired firing pins that require replacing. Once we start being submissive to the whims of others abusing the laws and the guidelines that are laid down in legislation then we are on the road to ruin and may as well just lay down and roll over....

Had similar with mine earlier last month with South Yorkshire police sending out a different version of the approved/agreed "diversity" form along with renewals notice and a cover letter "suggesting" that a if a fully completed application was not received within 14 days then renewal may not be renewed before expiry date .... Contacted BASC who promptly sorted things out with the relevant authorities and having informed me that the "form" that was sent out and received was in fact Illegal. As above, if any abnormalities occur then take it up with the likes of BASC for clarification as it appears that more and more are coming to light .....

Which sound mod you guys using on your HMRs do different manufactures perform differently on different rifles...if that makes sense I know they do on air rifles both sub12 and fac as i have some that I have now deemed "rifle specific" after many trials and tests

Looking to add an HMR to the collection when renewal gets sorted and wondered what scopes you guys make use of on yours, With most HMRs appearing to be used for around the 100 meter range, and at which distances I am also looking at setting up for, are there any point of aim problems if making use of a decent side focus scope between those ranges when this cal has such a flat trajectory, would have thought zero at 100 and plus or minus 20 should not be an issue but looking to you experienced hands on here for the advice rather than trial and error experience ..............
