  1. Try asda's own brand off the shelf .... cheap as chips and work for me ... been suffering with the fever for more than 40 years and must have spent a reirement fund with the NHS up until giving the supermarket brand a try.
  2. Boxed and in very good condition with just the slightest of light marks on ocular lens that are so slight the camera does not pick up on them in photos. £170 posted

  4. Evening all Any ideas where I can pick up a Butt rest that either goes on a trouser belt or cartridge belt similar to below. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=shotgun+hip+holster&client=firefox-b&biw=1138&bih=548&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwj6vJG4tvfRAhXsJcAKHRQXB14QsAQIGQ#imgrc=G9L33CA54novTM: https://www.taguagunleather.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=832

  8. Thanks for the replies chaps, the pins are new and I suspect as per WR's reply that the cartridges are the issue here as not experienced this with any other of several brands used to date this season, will see how we fair next time out and make a point of taking a selection of carts and investigate results. best regards,KRW
  9. Just bought a couple of boxes of Black Gold Game and put them to the test today as ran out last week and straight away started to experience trouble opening the shotgun to eject spent cartridges, problem just existing on the bottom barrel with firing pin fouling the spent primer. Not experienced this with other Black gold Game cartridges used this season or any others for either game or clays but have fitted new firing pins prior to start of season, original Browning from the seventies and that were harder to source than rocking horse do da for my 1973 Browning Liege Having got back in this afternoon I checked again with spent cartridges and the pin fouling was still an issue so measured protrusion at .070" which may have been a bit long according to research so decided to remove it and polish the now marked business end and also polish a bit off the rear shortening it overall by .08" which now appears to be ok.... well at least on empties.... time will tell next outing Could part of the problem be soft primers deforming more than others and bulging causing an issue ... anyone else experienced similar
  10. Can you guys recommend a decent brand of suitable gloves for use in the wind and rain and that can still be worn for shooting, out in the freezing cold wind and wet this morning and whilst not favouring gloves at all when shooting it was decided that such a purchase is a necessity before next my outing ....must be an age thing as the cold is starting to bite
  11. Thanks for the input guys, had to do a similar repair on my 1973 Browning Leige last season when the top lever retaining spring broke bought some 0.5mm stainless spring steel wire off that auction site and fashioned one using the broken one as a pattern as no spares out there anymore for them. will be leaving this one alone for now though as all's well after a good clean and re-lube...ready to go again
  12. Cheers guys, guessed as much but always worth the ask when not sure
  13. Evening all Just cleaning an Armitalia di Lucchini shotgun that looks like its not been oiled for more than a decade as is dry as a bone. The cocking limb in the form of a sliding bar which is also as dry as a bone, rattles back and forth in its slide when the gun is closed but not when open and which drew my attention to stripping it in the first place, all looks well with the mechanism and the rattle cured with a lick of oil. Just wondered if I was missing something here with it sliding back and forth when closed
  14. Sorted with the standards that also run subsonic and very happy too...... thanks for the input guys
  15. Evening All Looking for a supplier for .22LR Standard SK rimfire ammo in or around S.Yorks My local RFD only willing to sell in blocks of 500 which is no good to me as wanting to test for grouping before committing to buying that that many, explained same and not at all obliging.......strange policy that looses custom in my opinion...... Tried the SK subs when I purchased the rifle new last year and went over to eley subs when I couldn't get any more, now ready for more trials to see if they can be bettered by the standards that run at 1070 so hopefully should still be quiet and not supersonic. anybody know who stocks and sells in boxes of 50
  16. Can anyone point me in the direction of Pallet Disposal/recycling company in Sheffield area, I have pallets that mount up in various shapes, sizes and conditions and that I have to pay to get rid of as most companies only want good undamaged ones to sell on. Could do with a contact that can come and collect a load at a time and do us both a favor. Quantity wise I would estimate around 50 per month.
  17. I have a couple of 205L drums at work that have had gear oil in them and rather than scrap them I would prefer to see them put to better use if anyone can make use of them. Collection from Sheffield S9 area .... drop me a line
  18. Get around 27 mpg around town and never more than 30 on a run but well worth it, had mine over eight years now on an 04 plate, bought with 32k on clock just turned 99k best vehicle ever had and does everything asked of it, been up to axles in mud and always managed to get through, no amount of snow ever stopped me getting where i had to go.... hope to keep it till the wheels fall off..only ever cost me for brakes, tyres and a mid section exhaust to date. smooth as anything in 2.5 auto and comfy too.
