LOL Actually, one of them (Purdey or H&H) is apparently very friendly, and are happy to show shooters around the gun rooms, even if you've got no chance of buying something. People have posted on here about what a good experience they had looking round the shop. The other one I think has got a reputation for being a bit snobbish. I must step in on behalf of my noble friend. He's not defending Gadd, the penalties / safeguards in place or anything else about this case. He's simply saying (correct me if I'm wrong LS) that the rule of law is paramount. If the law needs changing, so be it, but there can be no place for extra-judicial punishment. But in the end the law is the law, something most people on here (presumably) accept. Just one tiger DF? You're getting soft in your old age . Robert

Here you go some sports on telly for poor Northern people, enjoy: Rory and Paddy's Great British Adventure (Travel) Time - 21:00 - 22:00 (1 hour long) When - Wednesday 20th August on five Comedians Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness travel the UK in a camper van in search of strange sporting events. The pair head to the north of England and Scotland, where they try out axe throwing and caber tossing. They attempt to beat the pie-eating world record in Wigan; witness the Great Knaresborough Bed Race; and attempt to take on the world stone-skimming champion at Scotland's beautiful Loch Eck. Yes, the commentator peaked a bit too soon on that one, his voice couldn't actually go up any higher at the 100metres to go mark We have done well at cycling, swimming, rowing and sailing but track and field are letting the side down at the moment. All ones where rich nations have a marked advantage . When it comes down to events that are a more level playing field, we shine less brightly. Grumble grumble. Robert
