For £600 I could get a FAC, gun safe and a nice .22 Rimfire. Seems a bit expensive mate.

Whats the 6.5x55 ? Isnt that a military round ? Sorry I just remember hearing about military rifles in the 6.5x55 NATO rounds. I know that a military M4 can fire normal .223 but a .223 cant fire the M4 rounds because they are enhanced and the guns cant handle the extra pressure. Sorry to steal the post mate I was just wondering. BTW I dont think it will make a huge difference what cal your rifle is , aslong as your comfortable with it. A 308 may have nice power but if you can get the job done with a 243 then that will also do. Try and talk to some people and TRY OUT their rifles. See what you prefer, it doesnt matter if the 308 or even the 243 is a better rifle , you always feel you should of had the one you prefered.

Most of you might know this but my dads friend showed me this a few months back and I never thought of it before that. He added a few drops of oil (not sure what kind) to my tin of pellets. This increases the seal around the pellet in the barrel and gives a nice increase in power ( not sure how much but you get a nice trail or smoke or air or whatever ) . It seems like a nice little addition plus may be cleaning the barrel at the same time haha. Be warned your fingers will get messy whilst loading.!

My cousin bought a PS3 and the game, I alrdy had a 360 and got the game. With both the games in HD and on a 40" tv, PS3 has slightly (if even noticable) graphics BUT IMO the 360 has better gameplay and better controls. After playing both I much prefered to play the 360 version since holding in the right trigger slightly would give me free aim and fully holding it gives me lock on. The PS3 only has lock on since it used the bottons not the triggers lol. Although there both good, I jus prefered Game play on 360!

Mrs Sweepy. As I see your son has a valid reason for extra time given Dyslexia affects how fast your mind can process the information (I think , sorry never looked into it in detail) but reason such as a headache or hayfever shouldnt be enough to Give extra marks!!! Why do people with a serious problem only get a few minutes more but others get free marks. This is absolutely ridiculus. And if something terrible has happened the person can not sit the exam and they are awarded marks based on their performance through out the year and in other exams. I know this because my sister got all A grades in her A level chemistry but has very unwell on 1 of the modules. She didnt sit it and the exam board looked at all her other marks and awarded her what they saw fit.

The news story is confusing. At one points its saying pellets (as in a .22 air rifle) and another about BB guns. Pellet guns SHOULD NOT be fired at children although I think everyone has fired a BB gun at someine at some point.
