  1. Definitely have to dissagree with that comment. I use my CO2 rifle for rabbits, pigeon, squirrels and the usuals often. It groups 10 shots well within an inch at 30 yards and on a good day i've had just over one inch groups at 40 yards but thats because of my errors not the gun. Anyone who says CO2 is useless has either had a really duff gun or has no experience with CO2 guns whatsoever. If CO2 just isn't your thing then my XS20 (spring) does the job out to 45 yards as well. One hole groups at 30 yards these days with both guns so whats the problem using them to hunt? Lewis

    MY KNOB

myzeneye - I don't see the problem with the crack in my butt being spoken about in public. It's an issue many of us have had to face. As annoying it is to have to face a crack in anyones butt it has to be dealt with a mature and positive way! Lewis

    MY KNOB

well i can honestly say your **** has been well and truly handled. I had a problem with a crack in my butt a while back but that got sorted. I didn't dare squeeze anything into my crack myself so i let someone else have a look. They worked their magic and problem solved! No more crack in my butt. Some nice solid, cocking can be done now without having to worry if my crack is splitting. Lewis
  4. I agree with amature. If its more of a garden gun or a light usage gun then the QB78 deluxe i think is just about perfect for yo. I just fitted a silencer and bipod to mine and its certainly more than adaquate for hunting. I've had rabbit headshots at 40 yards and it shoots reliably. If its cold then stick a hand warmer on it. Its worked for many of us including myself. If you can afford it then yes go for a PCP since its just that little bit more simple but i enjoy my QB78 Deluxe so much! Lewis
  5. thanks for the reply. I saw a picture of one on the internet and thats what i thought it was. Its very good! my groupings seem to be better? strange... anyone else had this happen with a silencer? Its a very light effective silencer. Lewis
  6. Hey i bought this silencer off here! Good silencer, good price but i bought it on his reccommendation really. Can anyone identify what it is?
  7. If only i had the money! Have a bump for an awesome deal
  8. Cheers for the new replies. Tried e-mailing the second one but it said failed to deliever?
  9. He's right you know! :-p Headshots only on anything i say its about as fair as you can make shooting something. Although the neck may be of a worthy shot. If you cant try and stay out of public view. You can try notifying your local bobby to say you will be shooting on your own premisses. Its always best to keep out of trouble. Lewis
  10. Hi Mark The law states you cannot fire any weapon within 50 feet of the center of a road so the front may be difficult. Im not sure if this applies if you are in your back garden since your house tends to be in the way! I know the rifles spring but a silencer and maybe some sort of covering for the gun (a dense rag of some sort maybe?) might help noise levels in your monsoon ally. Might look rubbish but if it works.... If not and you get complaints maybe have a look at buying/swapping your gun for a gas powered gun which are usually quieter with silencers. Hope this helps in some way. Lewis
  11. I wouldn't bother moving if there are pigeon there. Just ask if you can take along a home-made sign to place a bit further up the path to let passers by know theres an airgunner about shooting the flying rats!
  12. I don't have a budget at the moment im just trying to get quotes from anyone capable really. Anyone who's done one successfully and is willing to do one for me i would consider! Lewis
  13. I think it's disgusting how this was maximised to lower numbers. Why not encourage and promote their taste!? I will be ending any heavily affected rabbits lives.
  14. thanks very much! As long as the guns up to power it should be fine. Maybe give it a go over with the lube! Helped mine a treat. My QB78 Deluxe is very pellet fussy though so im sticking with the Air Arms. Let me know what you try and what results you get. Lewis
  15. Depends on the calibre. For pigeon i'd assume .177 although in both my guns (.177 and .22) i use AA Field Diablo, 5.51 for the .22 and 4.52 for the .177. These seemed to get the best groupings and hit hard.
  16. Hey guys I'm looking for a custom thumbhole stock for my QB78 Deluxe since the normal one isn't exactly pleasing me. It's got a lovely forend and provides a nice hold but i want something more like the S200 stock. Basically what i want is a little higher cheek piece than the normal QB78 Deluxe and a thumbhole. Same forend dimensions though. Anyone good enough for the job? Anyone know anyone good enough for the job? Im looking for quotes and examples of work. Cheers, Lewis
  17. Sorry i phrased my last post badly, i meant around the area i shoot. This is the first i've seen/heard of it in about 2 years around there. Cheers
  18. Right then i'll leave the ones that may have an immunity as long as they arn't struggling to move or see. Hopefully get rid of it eventually.
  19. I was shooting on friday and shot two rabbits, both of which i think were diseased. I've never seen mixy before but i think one of them had it due to its peculiar movement and red around the eyes. The other had these strange boil like lumps on its face, which is the second one like it i've shot this week. Anybody got any idea about either of these? Pictures: As you can see above there are some strange lumps on its face. Normally i'd think 'infected cuts' but since its the second in two shoots im beginning to wonder. Im afraid the pellet left an exit wound on the other eye so i coudn't check both eyes but this to me looks like mixy. Any help would be good thanks! Lewis
  20. I used to get EMA but now i need to apply for an Adult Learning Grant but you have to be working for it which sucks because i dont have the right hours spare for a job. EMA is a great way to pay for pellets and stuff! Let us know what stuff you go for! The XS19 isn't a bad gun, my girlfriends brother has one. Personally i find i get better accuracy out of the XS20 but that'd probably me not the guns! Im not too go with spring guns!
  21. Joe Most scope mounts are 1'' ring Dove tail mounts and that is what you will need for most off the shelf air rifles. Don't skip out on mounts though spend a few extra £££ and get some good solid mounts with a stopper at the back. This in my opinion is a must for spring guns. Also when buying a scope make sure its spring gun rated as some arn't and can be broken by the harsh recoil of springs. Hope this helps! Lewis
  22. Sounds like a good team! keep it up Lewis
  23. Hey Joe (good old jimi Hendrix) As said above Air guns fire either 4.5mm (.177) or 5.5mm (.22) size pellets usually made of lead. There is no power or explosion involved which is why there is no license needed as long as they are below 12flbs energy. In regards what rifle to recommend depends on how much you are looking to spend. The best way to do it would be to buy a quality product second hand but that may still be out your price range. I would definitely recommend the SMK QB78 Deluxe as mine has proved most useful (see my topic http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...howtopic=70037). The only downsides are a slight fluctuation in power when colder and the cost of CO2 but if you buy in bulk it saves alot. It sounds to me like you need a springer. My XS20 by SMK groups within a one inch circle at 30yards and you can pick these up new with a scope and pellets for around £130-150. The build quality is very good although the works needed to be lubricated. (very easy). Hope this helps in some way. Lewis
