  2. Try Big Pete at Clays r us says comp x 21g plastics 116 per thou on his website. Seems he only does 7.5's tho not 9's Fuzrat
  3. Lister, only the white centre bit can really be used as it is hard plastic. The orange "wings" get busted up pretty good, granted a few that are missed or only have one or two pellet holes in are reused but a lot of people blast them with their second shot even if they "kill" it with their first for practice. I suppose another reason its quite expensive is there are only about 4 grounds in the uk that have whirly-gig setups and they have to get their outlay back somehow as not that many shoot it this side of the channel. Quite popular in europe though. I shot it in the summer at A1 and I believe it was £30 birds only and £50 competition so £20 quid each in the prize pot. If you are any good at it there is some good prize money to be had. I think 3rd payed out £100 in the summer so out of 20 odd entrants you get the same payout as most sporting high gun prizes Fuzrat
  4. Seen it before, freind of mine picked up a cracking little cocker off a trialler. She just squeaks sometimes when shes exited. wouldnt make the grade for trials would be marked down for it, but an excellent shooting dog. good looking wee bitch, good luck with the sale. Fuzrat

  10. How can you start in front and stay in front of a going away target, You cant see it because your barrels are in the way. its like trying to shoot trap with maintained lead. I would say what you describe would be called ambushing it rather than true maintained lead. Fuzrat
  11. 20g chokes arrived this morning as advertised clean as a whistle. Wouldnt hesitate to buy from Mung again Top Man, ( hope you got the cheque ok mate) Cheers Fuzrat
  12. Dont forget the 4 safety pins on the back of your skeet vest to show you shoot major comps (helpful tip; tear 4 little corners off a piece of paper and put them on the pins, looks like you just ripped your squad number off :look: ) Fuzrat

  15. 20g beretta chokes, Yes please Pm on way
  16. Hmmm, very interesting discusion about giving more lead with shorter barrels. I have come down to 28" from 32" and find I am over-leading everything, perhaps it is more to do with the extra "whip" with shorter barrels (I have the added excuse of losing nearly 2 lbs of weight from the gun, 12 ultra xs to 20 bore 686). I tend to shoot mostly pull away and I think my timing is still a bit off. Maybe just a case of slowing down a bit, getting some shells through it and finding the natural rhythm for the gun? Fuzrat
  17. Mac-wets for me :yp: thin ones in the summer to stop my sweaty palms turning the pistol grip into a greased eel, and climatec in the winter cos every finger on both hands has been broken at least once from cricket and ive got poor circulation. God, admitting to gloves and cricket in the same post got to go, have to order my "powered by fairy-dust" stickers in pink for my barrels   Fuzrat
