  1. we should let that octopus decide, it seems to have the inside scoop on everything

ok, a more serious note. I hope he just shoots himself and saves some poor officer the paperwork (don't care much for the idea of wasting tax payers money imprisoning this guy)

  2. first off, the only regulations on bull bars are that they have to be eu yada-yada certified.

second, the front bumper on the jimny juts out a bit. If you can remove the bumper, drill 2 holes in top, and use a steel bar on the inside for some rigidity, you can have the spotlights coming out of the bumper. (I mean the swivel kind, not the recessed type)

  3. There will be courses all the time i expect. And for the 24 miles a day with no transport.... Hmmmm. As you say chaps i have nothing to loose. Give it ago and if it doesn't work out oh well. Also he said if i didn't want the job he could speak to some local dealers for me. He said that he thinks i would make a good technician/mechanic.

just think, with the money from a job, you'll be able to get some wheels. bish bash bosh!

  4. Yes the sub was also vey good, do not know what is on for the final show (yes it is only a 3 part'er  )

"COMING UP: 'HOW TO BUILD...BRITAIN'S SECRET ENGINEERS'

We follow workers at a leading British company on a global journey, as they reveal a handful of their secretive projects including getting Chinook helicopters ready for front line service."

From the teaser it looked great

  5. Poured 300ml of semi-synthetic 2 stroke into the tank and it's not broken down yet. The man in the car shop was slightly bemused at the prospect of me doing this and had never heard it worked or recommended it, but what does he know - it's only his job

So against his advice, I still did it and it's not going too bad.

was that a to a full tank?

Oh, and remember that there's a significant amount of fuel within the pipes and injection system, so it'll take a while for it to make it's way through

    keep us updated

  6. i couldnt be ***** to cross the road for £4 never mind all that parlafa

how many times do you fill up your car every week? once? twice?

    say twice, that's 8 pounds a week

that's a saving of 416 pounds per year :good:

    makes you think

  7. The mix of two stroke oil in the diesel is 100 millilitres of mineral two stroke oil to 35 litres of diesel . It really does work .

    Harnser .

I think the point that billy was trying to make was how do you compensate for the fuel left in the tank?

My thought would be that you forget about it, add your 35l and the two stroke, and the ratio will level out after a few tanks :good:

  8.

yeh, I'd had a few when I discovered that. As it turns out, arguing with a machine about why you are human and it is not is a good way to waste the early hours :good:

That's all I know about grapevines :good:

  10. When i was off work due to long term ill health i used to make a fair bit of cash by buying dysons from our local tip and fixing them. The most common fault by far was caused by the fact that many people dont realise that the majority of the uprights have 2 or even 3 filters that need regular cleaning.Without attention the machine has to work harder and harder till eventually the over heat sensor trips the motor out.Half an hours cleaning and an overnight dry on a radiator and they were good as new.Got to a point where i had nearly 30 in my shed for spares.Since then ive discovered the Henry-take the bag out for maximum performance and it beats any dyson hands down.

but does that not just redistribute the dust all over the place??

  11. been off for a week and a half now, and in that have drank more that the year beforehand :good:
