  1. has anyone got a benelli comb raiser for sale??.
  2. benelli m2 are,in my opinion a fantastic shotgun.i had a benelli sbe11 and i swapped it for an m2 with a lad on here.the m2 has a 26 inch barrel as opposed to 28 inch barrel on the sbe11.the m2 seems to be a lot quicker to get on the birds from a hide and has never missed a beat.the sbe11 is also a fantastic shotgun but didnt seem to come up as quick as the m2 does.also i had given up shooting geese so i didnt need the three and a half inch chamber.you get shims to alter the drop and cast to suit yourself.dead easy to do.another bonus is that benellis are easy to dismantle and clean and put back together.so,in answer to your question, yes i own and use an m2 regularly and i think you wont go wrong if you get yourself one.
  3. i will have the 10 sillosocks jackets please.how do i pay you with paypal mate??
  4. eleven years ago i was stopped whilst driving and breathalysed at 9.30 a.m. and failed the test.this was the morning after i had been out drinking.i was convicted of drink driving a week later and fined and banned from driving.a week after that i had two police officers knocking on my door.when i asked what they wanted they said, your guns!!.i protested to no avail as they told me if i was not fit to drive a car, then i was not fit to possess guns.(a statement that i did not agree with at the time but do now).i had to attend a very educational six weeks course about the effects of alcohol on humans in order to get three months knocked off my twelve month driving ban,and get a certificate for my motoring insurance when i got my driving licence back. i am glad i attended this course because i learned a lot from it.it also took me two years to get my shotgun cert back.i was also told in no uncertain terms that if i was brought to the attention of the police again i would lose my shotgun cert for good.so, on that sound advice i decided that my shooting was far more important than my beer, and have not bothered drinking since.i am not preaching to anyone, just telling you my story about drink driving and its relationship to shooting, and all the inconvenience caused to myself by myself.seeing as i only have myself to blame as i was the author of my own misfortune !!!!.
  5. i used these cartridges about 40 years ago.when i asked what they were like, my old gunshop owner said...they are like their cars.....they make a big bang and nowt happens !!!!.true, they were loud and a bit dirty but i shot all sorts with them in the old days.this post brings back a lot of happy memories.
  6. get yourself a left hand benelli mate and you wont look back.i am left handed and wouldnt go back to an over and under now.i have shot for 45 years so semi auto is not just a whim.saying that.all my shooting these days are rough and pigeon.best of luck whatever you decide on.
  7. i will second the comments about kenzie.ihad that book for 30 years.my mate just returned it after borrowing it years ago.my mate went on his first goose shoot with kenzie when he was a young lad.he got a right ####ing off kenzie for shooting too early and spooking the geese.(a lesson that put him in good stead for the rest of his shooting life).he is 65 now and remembers that day as if it was yesterday.
  8. it shouldnt matter how many or how few birds a person shoots in a day.or to that matter how many cartridges you do or dont use.the important thing is being at one with nature for the day.i have been a shooting man for forty odd years and have enjoyed every minute of it.stop arguing and get on with it!...... that was a posh speech from me!!.
  9. i have noticed also that there are plenty of young birds in the bag this year.i shoot in n.yorks.
