It's awful when you get something new and you can't use it... I'm sure you will get it sorted eventually. I have put mine on my .222 Tikka 595.

You could always get the gun realtree dipped... Not sure how expensive it is, but it can make a scruffy gun look great. Im sure someone here will have an idea on pricing. Just found an old thread click here

A friend of mine used bacon (raw) as bait on rat traps when he worked on a mink farm. Not sure if the mice would like it or not.

Last year as a "Call Bird" in one of my larsen traps I used a dead magpie wrapped in green garden tie wire to make it like a bendy toy. I wrapped the end of the wire round the perch and bent the bird into a natural pose... looked brilliant... 35 mins later I caught my live call bird :thumbs: . If you prefer you could try a plastic decoy. Good luck... The first bird can sometimes be a nightmare to catch.

Is it a set of spacers to reduce the amount of bolt sticking out into your gun cabinet Or am I way off

I have posted about this before... So sorry to those who have read it. I use the foregrip of my o/u shotgun as a priest... It's always with you so saves carrying extra kit and the end is metal so you won't damage your gun. You guys using auto's might have a problem doing this though :(

It helps if you bend the call slightly to fit the roof of your mouth better. Once you are over the urge to throw up you will find you can make an amazing amount of different calls using it....

Maybe if she had told the police that they ran away at more than 30 mph they would have done more... They only seem to be interested in nicking the motorist these days :<

On the 22nd of September 2002, 407,791 people marched in London and peacefully protested about the plans to abolish hunting. Still the ban is going to go through. If there are any future marches I would only hope it would be peaceful, as 407,791 angry rioting people would take some stopping. I am not suggesting we should start a riot or anything, I'm sure we are all bigger than that, but you can only push people so far when something we feel as passionate about as this is on the line. The police should think long and hard about the heavy handed way they handled this situation.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the land the school is built on was donated by the estate!

Nobody is suggesting shooting squirrels out of trees, It means on the ground where a safe backstop is available, as all shots should be taken. I'm sure you'll agree it would be highly irresponsible to shoot anything any other way.
