  1. Is that because you've changed your mind about keeping it mate?
  2. It's being picked up on Monday which isn't too bad. If they send me a new one I'll be very surprised. They would lose so much money doing that I think Bill Gates would need to get a part time job!
  3. I totally agree. It's only 18 months old and hasn't been used a lot either. Microsoft know they messed up which is why they will repair that particular fault for free for up to three years. I just think it's pretty poor that it can't be returned to the store for an instant replacement for another console. I know they have released a newer version that is meant to have resolved the issue but hey, it only took them 5 years! I have got to wait for it to be collected, sent to and the returned from Germany. Will I buy another XBOX............. :o
  4. Lucky sod. I would get the maxus if I had a girlfriend as good as yours. There's an almost new synthetic one for sale on here at the mo.
  5. The start up screen looks awesome Can't comment mate as couldn't get it to work. Does look v good on you tube though. Just a shame that I've got to wait for 2-3 weeks to find out!

    R/C cars

Hpi trophy is a cracking little off road buggy. Have a look at Modelsport uk for a few ideas
  7. Just a quick update. Tried the towel trick which did work for a few minutes although the game kept freezing at the start menu. This happened several times before the red lights came back on. XBOX 360's suck big time. I'm gonna post it off and hope for the best. May even treat myself to another Ps3.
  8. Thanks for the info. I'll give the towel trick a go and see if it works. The repair place in Chelmsford sounds very tempting but I dare say it will not be covered if it requires a further repair. If I send it off to Microsoft and it goes wrong again, it's down to them. In future though I'll stick with Sony.
  9. Tell me about it. I haven't used the bloody thing for six months and on the one occasion I do, this happens. I've now got to send the console to Germany to be repaired. This takes about 3 weeks apparently. I'm so gutted
  10. I had a PS3 but sold it to get the XBOX Elite as that's what most of my mates had. Wish I stuck with Sony now
  11. Just received the new medal of honor game through the post, one day prior to the release date and guess what...... Switch on the XBOX, Red Ring of Death. I'm ******** gutted!!!!!
  12. That sounds about right mate. I had an S400 myself and although I had no issues with it, I remember seeing something in the manual about that problem. Pop it along to a gun shop mate. I doubt it will cost much to sort out. You could ring AA direct if you are capable of carrying out repairs. I believe you can download the manual from their website if you don't have one. Good luck, Mick

    car accident

I agree with this completely. Get your son down the police station and don't leave until it's sorted. Each force will be different but you should be provided with a reference number which refers to your incident. I have had many jobs where people have failed to report within 24hrs. As your son stopped the vehicle to exchange details, while the other driver failed to do so, she commits a worse offence as she hasn't even checked to see if anyone was injured. The Police can often go and see the other driver and strongly advise them to make contact with the victim to resolve the issue. If not they would be reported and sent to court for fail to stop and fail to report. ATB Mick
  14. I totally agree. If you can't pay out to support your own children then why on earth does the government waste "our" tax money to do it for them. I also find it Fu**ing crazy that we give them extra money when the scroungers have more sprogs! If they require the money to fund 1 child then they should not get any extra cash when they pop out a few more. This only encourages it. Get a job like the rest of us! Rant over
  15. I agree with what you have said.
  16. I used to cut my fingers to shreds on my 686E when I bought it mate. I got a pair of gloves which solved the problem. They aren't as sharp now the gun has worn in a bit.
  17. Muck Boots are very good for the money. I've had the Derwent for some time now and they are a solid and comfy boot. Good luck with it, Mick
  18. Keep us posted mate. Love to know how it shoots. If it's anything like the Benelli then I'll snap one up
  19. That's a fantastic looking gun mate. Other than the look of it, is there much difference between that and the one you got rid of? I'm so jealous
  20. If I can find one locally for under £700 I think I'll get one to use on the woodies. Be nice to see a review or two first though.
  21. LOL - Pot and kettle springs to mind. I won't remind you of your scores at this years comp - Loser
  22. Thanks for the replies guys, I think I'll keep my eyes peeled for a 1/4 & 1/2 in the used section and see how I get on. Cheers
  23. Hi all, I have just seen this new semi auto by Beretta which was due to be released this summer. I guess it's inertia driven system would be comparable to the Benelli M2 which requires less cleaning and should have less jam's. I have seen it advertised for £675 new. Anyone tried this gun or already have one? Is it any good as that price seems crazy GMK link : http://www.gmk.co.uk/?p=productdetail&id=189 Mick
