  1. it is a armsan A612 went back to field today now its cut and shot another 114 from same spot all with georges proper stone dead carts Must say my kill ratio is just as good with this gun as it is with my trusty old beretta 686 not bad for a cheap turkish gun i actually bought it for wildfowling as its fluer de lis stamped for magnum steel shot and 3" chamber so was just getting some practise in before the season
  2. will you sell the 1/2 choke on its own .

  9. thats good i also have a teague extended in my a612 excellent choke
  10. Ok its def not a optima, Its very strange as if its only going in about 15mm its only just slightly passed the thread in the barrel !
  11. Hi EMT I also have a armsan a612 and all my beretta mobil chokes fit fine even my 50mm extended ones It could be a faulty one try it in a beretta bet its the same issue, also check its not a optima choke !
  12. Sorry motty i think you may have misunderstood what i was saying what a said was it seem like they hit harder not they do hit harder and then merely stated that if george did indeed load #5,5 shot in the carts it could be something to do with it and i wasn't criticising the ballistic performance of the clear pigeon as i have shot with them for must be over 20 years when they were clear hulls. I know others do shoot pigeons with light loads but i do believe larger shot and heavier loads kill better (more humane) providing you put the shot on the target that's why i prefer to shoot nothing less than 32gm #6 on pigeons to me it make sense
  13. It could be they seem to hit harder than clear pigeon if George loads continental shot which maybe #5.5 instead of English #6 but that's just a thought as I haven't asked him, anyway they are a great shell and cheaper than clear pigeon at the moment !
  14. Thanks guys cant wait to try it out
  15. Hi figgy stone dead is the name on the 32 gm #6 plaswad cartridge not on the box itself A really hard hitting cartridge i used a slab of these and for me they seem to out perform rc sipe, victory starlights, and clear pigeon all 32 gm #6 plaswad which is my go to cartridge for most stuff i shoot with the exception of wildfowl off course
  16. go for a springer cant go wrong i use one for everything and my mate is a serious wildfowler and wont have anything else but i guess its down to personal preference at the end of the day as i know a lot of good labs as well whichever you get it will be down to there parentage and there training how good they turn out although with a springer you will need to be calm and controlled around it when in training as they will pick up on your personality and if you are hyper so will the dog be
  17. Hi i was out pigeon shooting last weekend with a mate who has a m2 which is only 6 months old and his forend was loose as well
  18. Hi do anyone know where i can buy proper stone dead cartridges in the norwich area looking for about 1000 32gm #6

  20. Thanks guys ill put a 1/4 choke in and use that
  21. Hi' I was wondering if anyone can tell me if when shooting high pressure magnum steel loads if the chokes have to be steel proofed as well as the gun if so do they have to have the fleur-de lys stamp on them as well, and if not why !
  22. Hi all, I have recently bought some Beretta hunting extended chokes from sportsman gun center they are black and are extended 50mm, I bought these for wildfowling has anyone used them before if so what are they like or more importantly are they any good, as they are only £28.00. also do the sp stand for steel proofed !
