Help a old boy out selling his onld mowers etc.

Darren if it helps ease your mind a little I've worked in guns shops over the years and I've seen guns been lost by TnT,guns delivered to the wrong address and guns damaged, I've seen guns delivered by the door to door postie (unreal but true) I've sent guns on a regular basis by Royal mail by 24hr Recorded Delivery Tracked signed for service and they've taken two weeks, I've seen it when I've had to go to the RM and pick the packages myself, So what I'm trying to say is things get lost by many different delivery sources, your main problem is 'are you within the law in your area to send the gun by post yourself ? did you inform the Royal mail what you were sending ? Another point is it's not up to the recipient to prove he received the gun - I'm sorry to say in your case it's up to you to prove the gun was delivered ! the other point is not a nice one But it happens ~ (no disrespect to this recipient) Could the receiver have received the gun But is trying to pull a fast one and is keeping the gun and wanting his money back ! I'd personally contact a lawyer if I were you before you contact the police, If you're in the BASC/CA/SACS etc contact them for advice -- If you're not in one of these associations then join one -- it might not help you now but they will in future !

I am surprized the guy didnt pick it up as roughly a two hour trip from saddleworth to your area.
That would be my thoughts it would be intresting for him to inject his thoughts on the quality of his postal service on the topic.

I have had a couple walking the hedgerows and they were also plump.
We have no snow here , but the birds are only paying a little attention to the rape, they are still on the hawthorn berries.
Its very strange we have masses of hawthorn berries but the birds have switched to OSR .
So that puts pay to other who think woodies dont like the stuff over other crops.
Or they know snow is on the way and saving them for later.
Had two waxwings in the garden yesterday.

Total change as reported last week very few birds showing in oxfordshire.
But have had 7 calls today saying birds are pouring into the OSR not that it means I will shot a whole lot.
But at least there are birds showing here at last.

Try contacting your local post office, did you keep your receipt?, might have some information on it that can be back-tracked through the sorting offices.
The one thing I will add (to make you feel worse) is the difference between sending something standard and recorded is only a couple of squid.
Also recorded only offers you prove of deliver rather than tracked though the postal system.
With very little in the way of insurance as well.

I think everybody has a right to basic education but not further education .
There is too many in this country trying to be in well paid jobs.
Which has made way for the polish etc to take the lower class jobs as our countrymen/women would not do the work .
But in all walks of history we need diffrent classes of pepole to do the jobs from the top down to bottom .

Its bit like fishing you can give your mate the same fly leader length etc and he will still not get any takes.
Its a nice idear but the truth is is a whole lot more to getting good bags .
I think you can find more details about how birds where shot patterns etc on sporting pictures.
And lets face it there is a awful lot of pork pies storys about bag numbers and yes I have been said I tell pork pies on my bag numbers
.If you search the the sporting pictures you will see the same old faces posting pictures of there bags and story to days events.
So there is the info you require yes it may not be in your area EG kent but will give you some info.

The other guy turning up and shooting the fox while you two where in the field highlights the danger of not knowing whos shooting when on some ground.
The thoughts of being the on the other side of where the shot was taken sends a shiver down my spine.

You can defend Parcel Force and Royal Mail all you like.
They are inefficient / useless and that is a fact identified by the taxpayer/government/ and Industry efficieny companies.
All really to do with the English malaise and Union facismn.
I would be more than happy to go to Birmingham / Coventry or wherever collect a parcel and take it anywhere in the UK.
Did you know that a Dickson Round action shotgun was sent to the U.S. by Royal Mail recorded delivery and has never been seen since going over the Post Office counter? Even though the plod have been involved it has never been traced and the insurance have never paid out because it officially is not lost,or stolen it "Is just mislaid". I have even had a different police force officer make enquiries only for him to be told 'It is Crown Property you have no jurisdiction without a warrant'

Its all about time that one item is important to you the same as the 24 million items to other users ,stuck in the network all over the UK.
It will not sort it self out till after xmas FACT.
And with the transport fleet being slashed at both Parcel force and royail mail there is no extra vechiles to move the backlog quickly.
I got a parcel here that needs running uptp fort william come and pick it up and we see what time you can do it in.

After a hectic week with bunnies bolting well today exceed all our bags during the week.
With rabbits bolting well with the snow and frozen lifting for us helping to get the pegs in as we have lossed a few this week with the nets not pursing.
Total a whopping 67

might be wrong but i thought it was marked on the underside of the action in roman numerals, seen a grade 1 and II marked this way.
Mines not got that I think its a low grade but was intrested in knowing.

I have a fully working woseley merry tiller with a newish briggs and stratton engine..
Comes with lots of extras include two set of tines narrow and wide.
Snow plough yes snow plugh yes this a very extra as this model drives the wheels.
A sack carring bracket .
