  1. About Nooooooooooow Coat's on and taxi's waiting
  2. I've had a 682 E Gold for about 3 years, put many thousand cartridges through it, shot it all weather conditions and never had a single problem. As Ferrodo said, the extended optima choke tubes can work loose but (I only do them up by hand so it's not really surprising) I always give them a tweak as I go on a stand but I guess if you use the choke spanner, then you wouldn't have a problem.
  3. I had the same problem on a golf course that I've got permission on, I got on there and found it hard to make a dent in the numbers. The solution was to get someone to help, that was just over 3 years ago, since then we've managed to keep the numbers down and the result is one very happy golf club !
  4. It's a shame as there is a shoot just above Chapletown ( 5 mins away at Wortley) but it is only open alternate weekends, and that is an 'off' weekend I'm afraid. Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of September is the Country Fair at Chatsworth, so some of the main clay shoots are closed due to this, unfortunatly I don't know of one off the top of my head that will be open. I'll ask at the gun club this weekend and if I do hear of any that are open, then I'll post on this thread. Sorry I can't be of any more help at the moment.
  5. That's a beautiful looking gun mate
  6. An excellent and very useful little video clip. I'll have to try and get some pigeon shooting sorted somewhere then I can get chance to try it. Until then, it will be saved on my computer
  7. Out of all the air rifles I've had (one or two ), the one that I've always gone back to is the S410. I think I've had 6 different one's over time which have been sold, but I've always ended up buying another. I've currently got 2, one in .177 and one in .22, they are nice light and pointable guns, very accurate, the magazine system is easy to load, even at night or with gloves on it's no bother. I've had a Super 10 (full length version) which was a decent gun but it gets a little heavy after a while, (the bullbarrel carbine may be a lot better, but I've not handled one), plus I didn't think much to the magazine for it. Alex
  8. Provisionally sold pending the usual to Knocker Thanks for looking Alex

  11. There's one at Wortley/Grenoside in Sheffield. It should only take about 15 mins from Barnsley or there's always Foxhouse which would take around 40 mins from Barnsley Let me know if you want more info. Alex
  12. Blue Diamonds 28g either 7.5 or 8's, found them to be a very good cartridge. Maybe not the cheapest but I have confidence in them and thats what counts .
  13. Cheers, the Falcon is my nv rig as it's compact and lightweight.
  14. Sold the Evolution since this pic was taken
  15. Went to my local club today as a couple of us took up side by side's just for a bit of a fun shoot. I ended up with a 38/50. It wasn't an easy shoot but I did make some daft mistakes, but hey, we had a real good laugh with a bit of banter (read taking the micky out of each other) and for me that is all that matters Next time we're going with pump actions for a bit more fun
  16. I also find it quite amusing to take my synthetic stocked Mossberg pump action out clayshooting. There's always a few people who give you a look disgust but that always puts a smile on my face, plus as you say, it's even better when you out-shoot them .
  17. Yeah the weather was a little err.......... testing (that hail was the worst). Don't worry you weren't alone in not having a hat, I lent mine to a lad who was shooting round with us If I'd have known that you were on your own I'd have told you to join up with us. I ended up being joint high gun and then went in to a shoot off for the trophy, which I was lucky enough to win. If you go up there next time, your welcome to join up with us and I'm sure Brian (the guy who I shoot with) would point out where your going wrong as he's pretty good as a coach.
  18. And replied to you email The only number I've got for Foxhouse is 0114 2663822. The guy who runs it is called Ray Carnall (can't find his mobile number at the moment). when you arrive at Foxhouse, just park in the pub carpark (Foxhouse Inn) and you'll see a small white stone built barn which is the club house, just wander in to there and have a chat with whoever is taking money at the desk, normally it's June. Oh and by the way, it's VERY exposed at Foxhouse so make sure you've got some warm clothing (I sound just like my mum )
  19. Foxghouse is a friendly club, there is tea and coffee available in the clubhouse along with an open fire to warm up by (you have to fight your way to it at this time of year), unfortunatly due to space there aren't many targets at a distance, but this is made up for with other interesting targets and it can certainly be challenging with the wind A round of 50 costs £10 for non-members and £9 for members, if you have a second round then it's a pound less and there are generally 6 or 7 stands If you want a map for directions, email me and I'll do one on autoroute and email it to you. Alex
  20. Thats a shame about Copper Beeches, I've only been there once for a charity shoot last year for one of the members who died of cancer. I really enjoyed it and planned on going back sometime soon I'm a member of Foxhouse, if you need directions just let me know and I'll sort something. (I should be up there this weekend) Alex
  21. My current collection (really need to have a clear out...)
