  1. Thursday evening We had a visit from Mr Fox and he killed five of our ducks. So I parked the wifes freelander up in the field last night and thought I'd sit and wait. I checked the rifle and lamp and all was good. I have to use the battery with the lamp because the lighter socket doesnt work. So from 10pm until 3.30am this morning every 5 to 10 mins I have a look through the night vision monocular, sure enough 3.30 he appears so down with the night vision up with the rifle and on with the lamp, but no the light doesnt come on, so after fumbling around thinking I'd either flicked the switch on the back of the light or turned the dimmer right down then realising its neither of thoughs its the rubbish push in connector on the battery. So now the lights on but I'd now flicked the switch into the walk possition so I could see about 10 yards and that was it! I did just see the fox disapear into the hedge Think from now on I'll put some tape around the connector! So thanks to the clulite connector I've had no sleep and still no fox Not to worry I suppose it cant got to plan all the time and theres always tonight

Im selling a konus range 700, Im not sure how much it was because I was given it as a gift. I put the battery in to make sure it works but other than that its had no use. Its still boxed with instuctions etc. They seem to be around £200 on websites, so Im asking £150 for it thats including recorded delivery. I'll only post to the uk. You can pay through paypal. http://www.365astronomy.com/konus-range700...374e5661f91a448
  4. I'd love to turn up at clay ground with this beauty, I hate clays but I could hit more with one of these.
  5. I use a simmons whitetail classic 3.5-10x50 on my 17hmr and get on really well with it
  6. My dad got me shooting when he bought me an air pistol for shooting cans in the garden, I can remember we had to burn them in the bonfire first so they were weak enough for the pellet to go through them. happy days
  7. I have plastic 10 shot for my .17 and had no trouble yet
  8. This is Beau the springer and Max the cocker my shooting companions
  9. It is strange, I wish I had some old targets I could show you how much better the hornady used to group.
  10. shot these yesterday with a 16" cz 452 american in 17hmr you can see much better grouping with remington than hornady. But when my gun was 22" it was the opposite. Im not saying the hornady were shooting bad groups but not as good as the remington. I shot these off a stand with no wind at all.
  11. Smoking out rats with a chainsaw and shooting them with the hushpower, love it.
  12. I have a synthetic left handed webly and scott, I got it new for £375 and I have no complaints
  13. I find the scope works well, and no I dont use a spotting scope, Those shoot and see targets show up well up to 125yrds.
  14. I use a CZ 452 american with simmons whitetail classics 3.5-10x50, 16" barrel with a trigger kit and sak mod. It shoots brilliant.
  15. After my last thread about how my cz 452 17hmr shoots better with different ammo after I had the barrel cut to 16". You can see the odd flier at 100yrds but the group really starts to open up at 125yrds. The bigger targets are 3" and the small one's are 2". When the barrel was 22" hornady was the best by far, but now remington ammo looks the best. Very strange
  16. I took these off my vitara I use for shooting and put some diamond patten tires on, so these are no longer needed. They have been used off road so are a bit scuffed. Would be good on or off road. I only want £40 for the four, if know one wants them I'll stick them on ebay for £15 quid each. They are in Ludlow Shropshire.
  17. I've just had the barrel on my CZ 452 american 17hmr cut down from 22" to 16". When I originally got the gun I found that hornady vmax suited it best so thats what I've stuck too. I went to zero it in today first time after the barrel chop and I almost burst into tears, I thought it was knackered! I kept getting odd shots 2-3" off target even at 80 yards I can normally get a group of 5 in 1" at 100yards (normally) I spoke to one of my mates who suggested trying different ammo so I shot a box of 50 remington through it and we couldn't believe the difference it shoots better now than ever. I know everyone says to try different ammo and stick to the what suits the gun, but I didn't realize how much of a difference it could make, surely the ammo cant vary that much or does it?
  18. We use thunder bolts for all our fixings at work now, there so much easier to use than expanding bolts or resin, and there just as strong. No need to drill great big holes or no messy resin everywhere, get some thunder bolts.
  19. Me and the family are off skiing in France in a couple of weeks. We're taking two Nissan Navara's, but even though there 4x4's I still think we need to carry snow chains. I cant find any for under £60 a pair new (I know its not that much but they wont get used) and the only used one's I can find are too small for the tires. Does anyone know if I can get away with not taking any because there 4x4's, or do you know who sells cheap snow chains. Or does anyone know if you can hire them over there.
  20. Yes mate this is the kit I used in mine, easy to fit. This kit comes with all you need Im not sure if all the kits come with the roll pin. I did try cutting my original spring down but its a bit dodgy so dont bother
  21. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CZ-452-BRNO-No-2-4-a...4#ht_500wt_1108 Have a look at this
  22. Thats what I would do. We've made loads of different sized traps with various different way of getting triggered. The best we've made is one with a trigger plate in the middle and a door each end so its like a tunnel. Works brilliant.
