Hi, wise and sage like people. I need to top up the engine oil but the hand book doesn't give the type to use. Tried Halfords but their 'book' was blank. I'll ring the main dealer in the morning but thought I'd ask on the forum in case anyone had an idea. The car is a January 2010, Renault Megane Hatchback, 1.9 diesel (130bhp). Thanks.

I took your advice and rang SWP. Very friendly response; they're busy, haven't forgotten me and gave me the mobile number for the case officer. I rang him, and he apologised for being swamped with work but promised that the interview will be arranged for as soon as possible. Can't fault their friendly attitude - long may it continue.

I sent my application to South Wales Police at the beginning of May and I've heard nothing either. I think you might be hoping a bit to get any response in a few weeks, particularly after the Cumbria tragedy (which I know shouldn't make any difference, but just might).

Hi, if it's of any help I'm in Cardiff and I'm going to Mansfield next weekend (12 June). I could pick the dog up and bring him towards the far north east, Mansfield or a bit further. I have a dog so know how to look after one on the trip. Just a thought. If I can help please let me know by say Friday 11 June.

Hello, joined yesterday after a few days reading the site. Plenty to read and to learn. I'm 55 and have been shooting for over 40 years. Mainly pistols until the changes in legislation banned many of them. I've also shot rifles and shotguns over the years, target and rough shooting. I gave up my open FAC and SGC about 10 years ago but lately I've been shooting clays. I'm applying for a SGC again soon and will be keeping an eye on the 'for sale' pages!
