Been thinking about it i think you could make good deeks out of pape mache im going to take a shell deek and and make a cast on the inside of it. The hardest part will be painting it.

I have made my own decoys in the past.The first ones i made were out of plywood,they were made in to pieces one with the outline of a bird as if you were looking down on it and the second was made as if you were looking at the bird side on. I just cut a slot the width of the plywood in each one and by joining them together you had a 3 dimentional decoy. They did work but that was 20 years ago.

Doe's anyone here fish for the king of sea fish in this country the Bass (dicentracus labrax). That is the main occupation of mine through out the summer months ill try any meathod from taking them of the top with a red gill when they are shoaling to drifting with live mackrel for big fish. But the favorite has got to be crab on the stones. Anyone else into bass in as big a way as i am perhaps we can swop ideas things that work in your area that perhaps we hav'nt tried, and viki verka.

Brooketrout have you tried the hepste, tringell, mellta and the cynon. Good value for stream fishing.

Yes you have all been having young birds, but with the exeption of supergame, no one has posted whether the young birds had wing bars or not i have never seen a young woodie with out them, but am willing to be proved wrong. So what are seans birds that have no wingbars?

Come to think of it i have never seen a juv. pigeon without its wing bars. That is columba polumbus, the wood pigeon.

Sean i think at this time of year they are unlikely to be juveniles, as it would have made them born around xmas. if i am not mistaken even juvenile woodys have wing bars but no neck coller,it could be that they were stockdoves. Whitch by the way are protected. I mat be wrong but i dont think so but i am willing to stand corrected.

Ern i dont see why, they call Pembrokeshire little england beyond wales. there are more english people there than welsh.

deako you can thank pp for that there is a thread that explains it all but the essence of it is if you shoot pigeon for sport you need a game licence if you shoot them for crop pretection you dont cant remember what the thread was called started by pp i think it was game licences.
