    weather

    It's hot as in London
  4. Hi all I am away from home and am enquiring about a new piece for the collection, but want to make sure it fits in to my gun cabinet before I purchase. Could any one tell me the full length of a Silver Pigeon 3 with a 30" barrel please.
  5. Last year I was out in Leicester Square the night of the premier for the new James Bond film, Prince Harry cheesed all the famous off for delaying them by talking to the invited veterans. Well I was in a pub when a group of these lads came in, so I bought the whole lot a drink, thought that was the least I could do. Sorry buddy must be painful. The English are strong and will remain strong.
  6. You can these on pigeon trader for £1250.00 new
  7. It's a difficult subject to come up with a definitive answer. Luvbus hit the nail on the head, this was a test case which needed a guilty verdict to set presidence. Now that there is presedence the lawyers can do their thing twisting the English language in ten different directions meaning that any form of putting an animal to sleep will be twisted in to "cruel", I think we all need to be careful and BASC needs to clarify this
  8. There's a lesson to be learned from this, it may pay all of us when taking any gun into any shop to jot down the credentials and quick pic with a snappy, will back it up.
  9. I think Jonevo has a good point. It is all down to different interpretations, and any lawyer can twist an interpretation to mean something completely different. As mentioned previously it is breaking the law to release a squirrel once caught, it is not indiginous to the UK. Lawers will start twisting against or forms of despatching. I think we should all start trapping squirrels and start taking them to the RSPCA. Poor bloke he was doing the environment a favor, rotton tree rats

Hi I am looking for a Xtrema 2 for the foreshore, anyone know of a reasonably priced on for sale?
  11. I am new so please forgive me, surely pigeon is pigeon why shoot with a heavier load for roost shooting to decoying pigeon.
  12. if you put a post on, say an advert, how do you delete the post if you have sold the item?
  13. Hi Yes I have a copy of John's DVD. It was a useful watch to myself, but I am a beginner. It shows a little about the development of the Blaser shotgun, and how they are made and tested, which i found to be interesting. Better still book a lesson with John himself.
  14. Crispti That is the conclusion I keep coming back to. Do you know if the xtrema 2 is lighter than the xtrema 1? have a good weekend all
  15. Whats the concensus on a Browning Maxmus. I am really confused, I wanted the A400, then an Extrema 2, now I am told the Maxmus is a good option. Out of all these models what do I go for. I have an O/U that does most things, and want the Semi for wildfowling, but it would be nice to take it for pigeons if I fancied it. Is the xtrema 2 very heavy, that is my only concern as I know it has a very good reputation. The Maxmus and A400 are light, do they handle the biggest loads?

  17. If or when Berretta brings out the A400 in a synthetic would it be heavier or lighter than with a wooden stock?
  18. Thank you Mungler of course
  19. Hi and welcome. I am sitting next to a South African and he tells me your name means Zebbra. I took him to the Berretta shop just a few days ago and showed him a Silver Pigeon and he really keen to take one back to SA. Enjoy
  20. Thank you all There is some helpful advice. I have been on the field several times, and you wouldn't even know there was a railway line there as it is a good 400m away from where we walk them. From what has been discussed on here, is my own feeling with regards to the RSPCA I couldn't believe it when I phoned and spoke to him today, hence the reason for the post. I am working away, so won't get to speak to him in person till the week end but he is generally distraught and has already taken his kennels down as I know he is blaming himself. Those dogs were well trained, we went shooting 4-5 times a week for the entire season, they just got excited, through lack of shooting over the last few months. It was a one off.
  21. My father has a lot of wild Garlic in his garden that I had my eye on to maybe take a few to plant in my garden. At what time would I dig it up to transplant it?
