  1. Beautiful dog Hubertus - will be on the look out for one of them now!
  2. John, I shoot with Gary and my springer picked up the fox mange a few weeks back, don't know if it's the start of something up here yet. Had the poor lad at the vets but it's still taking ages to clear.
  3. Ireland and France, 1 & 2.....we're the form teams in the Heineken Cup.....(Leicester's best players are Irish!!) Ferret master, Your boy Sheridan and friends weren't too inspiring against our Munster boys a few weeks ago
  4. Interesting stuff about the releasing of foxes - just shows you how far removed these people are from what really goes on in the nature and the countryside. Reminds me of the idiots who release mink from farms and haven't a clue of the consequences. Great story Mark on the shooting - "it stopped and looked then died".....class!
  5. Apparently the only job is to eat them with the guts in....makes a kinda nice sauce, especially if there your first! Personally, I'm not that close to the bread line and fry the breast in butter. Important thing is to keep basting the breast with melted butter from the pan while it's frying. Then between two slices of toast..........class. Think I'll go do one now!
  6. Nice bags for this time of year when it can be really tricky. I presume the Munster Hubertus mentions is in Germany and not the one over here in Ireland. Will be next summer before we get the big bags here again. In the meantime we'll just have to watch the Munster boys win the Heineken Cup!
  7. I'm going on me hols to Holland this year!!! Reminds me of last summer when we had a couple of days with numbers like that....I'll be dreaming of it all day at work now and will have to watch the camcorder footage again tonight.
  8. Same as kirky640, I use Eley Olympic Trap 7.5 on the pigeons, good value, easy on the shoulder when you're firing 250+ in a session....no need for 32g, you're either on them or not.
  9. Great photography...looks like something out of a science book. Never seen it in real life though.
  10. Never decoyed the goose before but can imagine the excitement seeing a flock like that heading for your decoys. Class.....
  11. Great pic - that's what young lads should be looking forward to doing as they grow up, keeps us all out of trouble. Must be brilliant to see your son enjoy doing what you enjoy.
  12. Mine is cos I'm big into woodcock - different name for the crafty little fellas and was sure the name 'woodcock' would be taken already.
  13. Dogs and myself hardly able to walk this morning, covered a lot of hard ground yesterday but worth it. Hopefully the birds will stay till the end of the season now. Any word of them moving on or getting scarce in other parts of the country or across the pond in scotland/england?
  14. Great day, you're on fire lately....getting all the jammy breaks! Next weekend for the double figure bag. Poor auld Pete looks wrecked. (My first posting!)
