With all due respect your FEO is wrong,a collapsable stock cannot be taken into account for the overall length of the gun ,it's in the firearms legislation,hey if you've got a FEO who's not clued up good on you but personally i'd dump the stock unless you've got a hushpower barrel that increases it's overall length measured at the rear of the receiver.

Just saying i 've read the reqiurements and unless the overall length from the rear end of the receiver and barrel come to over 40 inches then he's got no problem however what i see is a 28/30 inch barrel plus receiver this will be a tad short of that measurement, the fact it is a collapsable stock means it's length is not to be taken into account for the overall length of the gun thats why i got rid of mine. If some dealers are selling such guns as pictured then i would suggest they read up on the requirements for a definition, as stated i'm just putting it out there, would'nt want anyone to be illegal.

Had a ATI folding stock on my Mossberg but the barrel was a hushpower so overall length was ok ,however when i changed barrel to either the 28 or 24 inch barrel it then became illegal because the overall length was less than 40 inches . The reason being collapsable stocks are not taken into account for the purposes of measuring overall length.To summeries if the total length from the rear of the receiver to the tip of the barrel is not 40 inches then you cannot legally use a folding stock. Just putting it out there.! See attachedany self-loading or pump-action smoothbore gun which is not an air weapon or chambered for .22 rimfire cartridges and either has a barrel less than 24 inches in length or (excluding any detachable, folding, retractable or other moveable butt-stock) is less than 40 inches in length overall (section 5(1)(ac)); v) any smooth-bore revolver gun other than one which is chambered for 9mm rimfire cartridges or a muzzle-loading revolver gun (section 5(1)(ad));

A nice piece of Mossberg wood and iron is next on my shopping list.

It was a labour of love, accidently found out about the chokes through a American Mossberg site ,i did'nt know my Browning chokes would fit in the Mossberg.

Mossberg 500 with 24 inch barrel fitted with King Armoury breacher, also 28 inch barrel with Teague extended chokes fitted with NCSTAR velcro side saddle and Allen stock carrier also Pachmyer extended butt stock and Eotech sight.

The mrs and I closed our facebook accounts last week ,we feel there is just too much info already out there without giving anyone anything else.Nail in the coffin was the story of the young lad and his girlfriend going on holiday to the US, when they landed they were treated as torrorist suspects due to saying in facebook he was going to "destroy newyork" on holiday. It doesnt take much to understand that meant he was going to have a good time there. Just the fact that he was pulled shows me how monitored we all are.

Bought it all from one of the gun trader sites can't remember which one it was advertised on but it was all from a private seller near Manchester . As for the barrel it is smooth down it's entire lenght and had a bead on the end of it not sure what model ,thats it. By the way just looked at ebay USA theres loads of ribbed 24 inch barrels for sale , "Land Of The Free" to right they are .

I bought it as a job lot with the 24-28 and a hushpower barrel which i sold as i had no need for it, all came to around the £400 mark. The heat shields are easily available from Midway approx £30 -£40 as for the breacher attachment (which is never going to be used as a breacher tool but i like the looks of it ) i had this imported from King Armoury in the USA.

Less recoil i believe although when i'm pumping 62's through it, it still feels lively.

Hi, Mark, yes hav'nt seen one myself in the UK got a browning as well, Try Midway UK as well they are uk importers for all things Mossberg.

Hi I have a 24 inch non vented barrel and a 28 inch vented and ribbed barrel ,i'm not sure they make a 24 inch vented barrel. By the way did you know that browning invector teague chokes fit into the 28 inch barrel.
