  1. An art teacher came up to me today and said "I've never seen you here before till today, and I've seen you four times this hour. Must be because I saw two magpies this morning. Good things happen when you see two magpies together" By her definintion, I must **** gold, pee beer and find diamonds in my garden. I live by a pig farm.
  2. Sod the camera, should have gone back in and got out the .223
  3. I've got a scope like that, hawke niteeye? What is the rifle? .22 or .17hmr? Looks like it's got a damned heavy barrel.
  4. Get your mag FM?
  5. You'll get the yellows otherwise - like this guy here
  6. The same reason the seasons are different. The people who run our country are incompetant.
  7. So shooting on a foot path is legal? I was always under the impression I had to be 30yrds away. I have left a busy rabbit patch unmolested for years because of the fact there is a footpath through it. Are the rules the same for shotgun too?

  9. I have a BRNO CZ Delux (Ha I here you say, do they make them delux!?) Which is a fine tool, it is great for all I want. Cost me £200, with silencer, sling, spare mag and 1000rounds. OK, so the trigger isn't as good as a Ansutz or a Sako, but it was the best I could afford and it is fine by me. Good solid gun, well made and a walnut stock too. Probably not what your looking for FM, as you have a bit more green to throw around.
  10. Anshutz are the best around if you want to spend some serious doe on solely the rifle. About £450 I think. Sound moderator will cost you about £20.
  11. I AM NOT A NUMBER! Ahem, Sorry. I dont want to be classified and put into a group. I like to keep myslef to myself, and dont want a card shouting out to the whole word everything about me. It's all very Orwellesce - next thing we know we'll forming the USE (United States of Europe) and be drinking Victory gin whilst our weapons experts go missing for talking about the truth (Wait a minuet? Isnt that happining now?). Labour are a bunch of bloody communists. An ID card isnt going to stop terroists, like gun laws dont stop criminals breaking the law. Its what they do, commit crime. If the terrorists want to blow up the houses of parliament the conversation wont go something like this: "Ready to die white pigs, I wipe my shoe on you!" "Er, Imran?" "Yes Abdul?" "I've, erm, forgot my ID card.." "IDIOT, I told you to pack it." "Sorry Abby" "I guess we better turn back then" If they want to blow something up, they'll do it if they had and ID card or not.
  12. Here's my mossberg: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...838&hl=mossberg Got a nice black synthetic stock too now. Stock cost me about £30 from american ebay. Weights nothing!
  13. You spoil me TLE The bayonet aint long enough though :o Incidently, I have got all 'the parts' I was enquiring about, thanks to a friend holidaying in Italy :o LB What would that be LB? A Corniole INC pair of 10in barrels and pistol grip?
  14. Sorry, I was really looking for a 3in
  15. I think your wrong there Dung, the .308 is the jack of all trades. Empty brass is cheap (as its the millitary 7.62). Busts up foxes well but it can tackle red, fallow and even elk and boar. Having said that, a .30-06 is more apt for the last four. I voted for the .223 because it is again a military round with lots of cheap brass. It also, like the .30 rounds, has a wide range of loads to suit situations. It is relativly flat shooting, and suffers less fouling than a .22-250
  16. Is it chambered for 3in? Can it take steel? Any piccys?
  17. I was lure fishing on a canal last weekend. I spied a huge perch sat in some thick weed, so I drew a Storm sub wart past him and BANG. Hammers it. I had to play him fairly roughly to avoid the trollys, Vauxhall Novas, dead goats and tree stumps. I was fishing with 30lb braid, as there are pleanty of pike about in this cut. This stripy was a biggun, well over 2lb damn near 3. He rolled on the surface, rolled again and I pulled the ********* hook Gutted. Never mind. I did spot another big perch, and pulled, jigged, cranked, spun, wobbled and drew everything in my bag past him. From a 7in Barra Bait, through spinner baits down to the tinyest ondex spoon. He was having none of it. I sat and watched the water though polorised specks and had a can, and saw alsorts of fish wander by. A huge shoal of bream, some small perch following roach, a few chub (yes chub!) and the odd carp. Absolutly stacked. I will probably fish it with float and worm, or a poped up worm and a feeder of red maggots to see what I can pull out.
  18. That cant be an adult kangaroo because they are about 7ft tall!
  19. I bet it's great fun to clean.
  20. How much did it set you back? I'm looking into getting a new .308 when I my shotty comes up for renewal next year (going co-terminus with FAC and applying for open ticket too).
  21. Yes. The easyest way is to find an old scaffold tower. Quick to set up on your own, and move too. If you want a cheap option, use wood. A lean too is just simply two legs, (made out of something like old telephone poles) with a flat but attached at rightangle, with deacent bracers against the legs too. Then just hammer on the posts and rails to make a shooting rail around the top. Always lash it well to the tree, and anchor it too with good rope. We use steel wire. It's fairly simple actually. It is really just a chair on legs. Dont make it to fancy though, they're no fun to carry 3/4 of a mile on your own.
  22. Looks a lot like my old man's synth and stainless .30-06
  23. I sould be running the school by your thinking! Have fun FM
  24. Went to school with my Grandfather.
