how will i know when they are fully grown theese are my first ferrets and i dont think they are to much off of being full grown as they are not too much smaller than there mother

i usually just slice the breasts off as you said but i also have the same problem so now what i do is pluck the breast cut along the breast bone gently then peel away skin then go right to the bottom of the breast the cut a slit directly below in the middle put your thumb in this slit and pull off the whole breast Lee :blink:

take it in turns mate alot easier but if im shooting in the same hide as someone and a flock comes in one will take the left and other take the right and you say that they get too far away before you can get a shot then ask your dad to leave tyhem to get in a bit closer so you have time to get on them :blink: Lee

i al;ways go for a head shot but if you cannot get one for opne reason or another at chest shot is perfectly acceptable :blink: Lee

i dont know how wether cats go for this but the rats love it put down some crunchy peanut butter that does the trick Lee

hi great idea i'm going to try it how exactly do you make them do you cut them to shape tapering away towards the tail and then just spray them or is there any thing else you have to do ?? thanks Lee

I usually use peanut butter the nutty one works better than the smooth i think also tinned cat or dog food works well Lee

Thanx i have been using a range of things i have been told to help and he is now picking up pigeons But he loses interrest once i have taken the first bird of of him and wont bother getting any more Lee

yes i can get hold of wings more so pigeons than pheasants and yes there are places i can go to shoot pigeons but more so woodys than ferral ones yes he will retrieve but would rather have a good run Lee

good shootin m8 you say about having a bipod on your springer i have always wanted to have one but have been advised against it does it affect accuracy or any thing ??? Lee

Yes he does have acess to wild birds but he is not interrested in them
