have to be a bit carefull with this method on the 1022,if your rifle gets knocked it slams the action closed (i didnt realise until my gunsmith pointed it out to me) iv seen a brass deflector somwhere that clips onto the scope rail and makes the brass deflect downwards, might help with the vent issue?

iv got .17hmr for fox from devon and cornwall,only good for sub 80m range tho in my eyes

thats a fair point,i worded my post badly apologies for that,it was aimed more at the fac side of things,but youve sumed up/answed what i ment

helstons pretty good,as already said ammo is cheap,cant say iv ever had any problems with them i agree that its hard to see across the counter but if you say what your looking for i.e o/u for around £200 they will normaly pull out a good selection for ya,might of been who served you,only a couple of them are allowed to sell sgc/fac weapons and ammo so you could have gotten one of the others?

lota guys down our way(and i assume the rest of the uk? ) have to of had x amount of experience useing a firearm and or be mentored for however long before there allowed to shoot by themselves

so given we all have to be competent with a firearm to get a ticket for our guns what qualifies the average plod to seize them surely they should have to be a firearms officer? i mean hypothetically couldn't they end up shooting themselves through lack of knowledge?

some 1000d cordura would work well for the outside bud,then somthing like 400d for the inside,very hard wearing provided its stiched and edged well,nice and simple quite water resistant folds up small and most important of all a home sewing machine will go threw the fabric no probs

So the flo is wrong in saying until he has his sgc he wouldn't be allowed to shoot at my farm permissions using my rifle/shotgun even tho he has the land owners permishion and would be under my supervision ?

a friend of mine has just been granted his sgc,so while chatting the flo mentions that its illegal to shoot with somone at a permishion using there rifle/shotgun unless they are the land owner,is this true ? if so how on earth are you suppost to gain shooting experience? most of us that shoot dont own the land we shoot over,i learnt with my father on his permishions growning up which if this is true was illegal ? i could have sworn i was told by my flo to get a centerfire granted id have to go with someone who has one to gain some experience and keep a diary of when i went,my use of it and get the owner/mentor to sign it,going on what my friends flo said,surely that would make it illegal? hopeing somone can give me some clarity on this

my father has a remi 700 in 223 and he was told not to use 5.56 nato in it due to chamber pressures being to great with the nato round? nice gun tho does the job

cant say its done any damage to mine(saying that its only an escort) not actualy sure how it could as when it happens it basicly mimics what the action does except it doesnt load into the breach it just sits under the action,like i said tho bit pointless tho

iv got a fac hatsan escort and it ghost loads by accident quite easily,i have a friend whos applying for his sgc and take him shooting with me quite a lot,he managed to do it 3 or 4 times the first few times he bombed up the tube by himself,its just a case of the round not being pushed into the tube properly and it clicks back out,doesnt have any benifit that i can see and its a ****** to clear if you have to empty it (i can also see it being quite unsafe if you thinl you have the magazine stopper in thinking the guns empty after youve fired 1 round and that ghosted round has chambered when you think its empty)

sorry to change the subject but has everyone had there BASC mag this month ? iv not recived mine yet and its normaly here on the 1st :(
