  1. It's a bit of a shame. The original poster has retired wounded, without putting up much of an argument. He might be an oddball, but his pomposity was amusing whilst he lasted. What a little star. I would be surprised if he was over 15 years old. No insult to younger members intended.
  2. Kent - we will have to disagree. I am not saying I would be happy to own dogs who look for a fight. I own two Akitas, one of which has been attacked a number of times and has fought back. I just don't agree with amateur dog psychologists - Sounds like you are citing something you have read. - on that we do agree. I'm with Ozzy Fudd on this one.
  3. Never seen one. What made you pick a Pointer, as opposed to many more well known makes?
  4. I am always grateful to hear an expert opinion. If you genuinely have no time for a dog who will fight, you should never have owned any dog at all and should, in all conscience, refrain from keeping another.
  5. Location would help. What is wrong with it for it to be in only fair condition? They haven't really been around long enough to get worn out.
  6. Kent - how can anyone with a brain cell say that their dog would never fight? Any dog will fight given the right circumstances. To say otherwise is absurd.
  7. I would ask to see the bill - satisfy myself that it was legit and pay up. Kent - that dog has not been born yet.
  8. Better machined, wood, resale value, reliability, longevity, trigger pulls.
  9. Went through a couple of thousand last year. Decent shell, but not so superior to the Olympics, to justify the price differential.
  10. Either gun would be fine. Each has its own qualities, but both are excellent. I would agree about Miroku - far more gun for your money, than either of the other two.
  11. A mate was without his Teknys auto for over six months from memory.
  12. Forget any engraving, the Miroku is on a different planet - far better gun.
  13. Bizarre - just how I imagined him. Funnily enough - he is reading this now. Photos??:good:???
  14. It is quite some time since I came across a plonker of such magnitude. High on boasting, low on logic, pitiful sense of humour and still no photos. What a ****.
  15. sernv99 - you started off badly, asking a fairly dumb question. You are compounding matters by trying to appear superior, whilst digging a bigger hole and making yourself look downright stupid. I should really say - more stupid, because you have already crossed the line. Perhaps you could post a few pictures to quell the doubts as to whether your Krieghoff exists and is as unbalanced as you say. Perhaps a few snaps with the extended chokes and some without - delicately balanced on an appropriate fulcrum. I expect a withering put down or at least a feeble attempt. Just let it go.
  16. Must dash - just nipping out to but a new Range Rover. I will have to fully consider the impact of a full tank of fuel - it will make it tail happy and completely unbalanced. I could always put a couple of Purdeys in the front to restore the balance. Chewing gum is just too common - don't you just know.
  17. I can afford a Krieghoff, I just don't fancy a Remington 3200 copy, which looks ugly and is so easily unbalanced. Keep pounding the keyboard in addition to the arm curls. Both will build up your strength and stamina.
  18. If the balance of the gun has shifted marginally - we are talking minimal weight here - I haven't a clue as to why it would wear someone down. The weight difference is insufficient to cause tiredness in all but the marginally fit. I would stick with the chokes and build up your strength by doing arms curls with one extended choke. When that becomes second nature, move up to two chokes. You will get there in the end.
  19. Thank you for sharing this excellent news with us, so early in your time on Pigeonwatch. Hello and welcome.
  20. If he is sat around waiting for someone to tell him what to do, it calls into question whether he is fit to possess them in the first place. Sounds a right numpty. If he just does nothing, I hope he loses the lot. It makes shooters appear casual about the law.
  21. I have a slight difficulty with this, which someone can probably easily explain. Shot is heard landing on the roof. Shot hits one person on the head. Shot hits one person on the back causing a red mark. To cause a mark the shot must have been travelling pretty smartish, but doesn't appear to have been travelling that quick when hitting other people / house. Surprised it hit the roof, rather than the windows, unless the cousin is quite tall.
  22. apache - the photo shows the ammo safe lock.
