  1. Odd one?! 750w or above 1400rpm 19mm shaft For my pillar drill Cheers
  2. Just spoke to Devon and cornwalls firearm team and got pushed up the line to, I think the head honcho. I was asking about overal length. The law states, for sgc holders, minimum barrel length of 24 in and over all length of 40in as wel know. NOW THE GOOD BIT The sliding or detachable stock bit we were talking about before is no longer valid as that was removed when it was re vamped in 1997.... So you can have sliding or what ever stock you want so long as your overal length is no less then 40in. In its shortest setting so slid as short as it will go So when you read that bit about sliding stocks ect its due to that source not updating its source and causes a lot of misconception I was told.....

  4. is that current figures for pump action shotguns? or speficially "field pump actions" i'm just asking as i thought the 870 ruled the roost in the states?
  5. ******! So how long would your barrel need to be? ie how long is an 870 receiver?
  6. What's your plan? If you fancy parting with it let me know
  7. How poo! Surely to make it shorter then the shortest setting you would need to un bolt the stock, and you could do that with the standard stock.... Some laws are stupid!!
  8. Yeah pretty sure! Only differance is a nicer wood and more time spent on the finished product ( and finish to metal? And stamp that says wingmaster) as far as I know?? I wouldn't mind a synthetic stock for my wm tbh Just swung the vote lol
  9. back to pump club essentials, do the mossy and 870 stocks interchange at all then?
  10. thought i'd share as i was impressed today. went to the beech this eve, and made a point of keeping him on lead around other dogs, untill i found one i thought was ok, IE another viz as it happens and chatted to the owner then released him, they played in a controled manner, went to leave and i saw another dog arrive and play with that other viz.... oh no i thought, this is going to take some work to get him over to me..... 3 pips of the whistle and he came running straight away!! result was a nice little victory! chopped hotdog might have helped! was making him sit and stay when other dogs came past and let them walk by without moving ect and he did really well! small steps restarting from square one
  11. i thought this was just with folding stocks? thus we cant have them unless.... same with pistol grips?
  12. Rat catcher pistol will do on short range but you can get semi co2 pistols, What you want depends on range really?
  13. http://www.guntrader.co.uk/Guns-For-Sale/Remington_Shotgun_870-Wingmaster_For-Sale_130204134838002 tempting! there about £400 new..... so i'd pay that
  14. can you all just decide on one method cheers for all the input, lots to mill over!
  15. sorry i ment was it the spent one or the new one getting jammed in on the way to the chamber? on the loading ramp? that would sound like a short stroke, i've done that before
  16. what chamber and receiver you got?
  17. didnt come back all the way? how long were the 42's?
  18. i read of some people using valve grind paste and racking it a lot.... then clean very well but seems a bit uncontroled? held a 24in WM and loved it, sadly it was shortened by cutting the barrel and although the guy said it grouped well considering i still dont know.... although it would remove my pitting issue at the end of my barrel! think the barrel could be tapped for chokes?
  19. i ideally wanted 24in but dont know if one is made like that. as you say new is pricey! more then my gun anyways. whats your 28 like?
  20. cool thread, my first shotgun was a manufrance rapid, nice shotgun but didnt fit me very well in that i couldnt hit much with it, sold it... i now have a 79' (i think) 870 wing master, all stock, nice wood and in good nick, its my only good so does clay and rough shooting, good points... i love it, bad points, noticed a bit of pitting in the barrel and its fixed choke and 2 3/4 chamber any sources of another barrel? couldnt find them on midway any more....
