  2. Is this a complete secure bottom to it as it looks like it has a open floor panel, Thanks
  3. I was reading one of my air rifle magazines recently and saw a advert for Ghillie Suits called Tundra Tex from a company called The Shooting Party. They sell other stuff, but these suits in question are just around the £45 each, one is in a green digital type pattern and the other is a brown autumn design, both are quiet. rot free etc etc... So two suits for the price of one so to speak. I took them out yesterday for the first time and in one word BRILLIANT I put the green digital pattern on and simply sat under a tree in plain (hidden) sight. I nailed a woodie that landed in the tree above me, sitting still I had two Roe Doe's walk about 15 feet from left to right in front of me, but the ultimate was another woodie. It landed about 4 feet above and 8 feet out just to the left in the tree I was sitting under. As you all know woodies have brilliant eyesight, unfortunately for me my rifle was pointing in the wrong direction so SLOWLY swing the rifle around the woodie took off. I must point out that I was not in any kind of shade, just using the tree to help mask my outline. I went around my permission and had a good day, the suit is lightweight and easily goes over your outer clothes and is easy to put on and take off. The only drawback to the suit is that the flap that covers your face sit inside the hood and you use the drawstrings on the hood to keep it in place, it may be a better idea if this is fitted with velcro, I am going to add some velcro to the hood, but for the money the are a VERY good purchase.

  9. I am selling my Black GSF 1200s Bandit. It is a K6 so a spot on bike as it has the proven mechanics from the K1-K5 and the new shape from the K6 onwards. It has only done 7K miles. I bought it, MOT,d it and then stuck it on SORN, so it has only done about 10 miles since it's last MOT. It passed the MOT with no advisory notes issued. Since I MOT'd it, it has been sorned and up on paddock stands in my heated workshop, the battery is also on a trickle charge top up charger designed to keep the battery in optimum condition. It has been on sorn for about two years now as I had a fall and injured my wrist, the fall was not bike related. I am having a operation in the next two weeks on my wrist so will not get out on my bike this year as the recovery period will take me past the summer so reluctantly going to sell this cracking bike. No MOT on it just now, but you will see that all this information is correct as per the MOT certificate and tacogragph on the bike, I no longer have a trailer so cannot take to MOT station, but 100% certain that there will be no issues on MOT. As I said in a heated workshop on paddock stands so brake discs etc all OK. I started it last week first turn of the key, drained and filled new fuel, prior to the Sorn it had a complete service by me, filters, fluids etc. It is standard in all ways, obviously the odd mark here and there, but in VERY and I mean VERY good condition, it has a Fenda Extenda fitted on the frontwheel so the downpipes are in a veery clean condition, chromed pipes looking good. If anyone shows interest please PM me your email address and I will send photos etc. I am taking a major hit on this, but a perfect bike for the soon to be good weather, only wanting £2,600 for this cracker, no swaps etc as a pure sale only.
  10. Hi John, I have a Berreta, what's the idea behind this is it to fit and rest the gun without damaging it. I am in Fife Scotland, so as long as it's not coming from Florida I may be interested, Cheers

  13. I am applying to add another rifle to my FAC, again I have been doing a lot of reading on either a .223 or .243, as far as I can see the .243 with the greater velocity has a effect of quicker barrel wear and this is the only downside, however is this just a minor issue where the barrel takes 1000's of rounds more than a .223 to wear out. Again withregards to ammo price, reloading, accuracy etc etc, what are your views on the subject, Many thanks......
  14. I am looking at getting either a .17hmr or .22lr, I have read a lot on the subject but was wondering if anyone has any advice as to the pros and cons with regards to flatter trajectory, ammo cost, wear and tear, accuracy etc etc. thanks
  15. I have two of the No1 from G.D.K. and they are spot on, very solid, very good quality, they hold six guns or scoped rifles etc, but it is possible to put more in at a push, pistols etc, the seperate ammo safe is also spot on, even with the inbuilt ammo safe the space is still tall enough to store shotguns without having to break them down, they are of such a good quality that I also have two small seperate ammo safes from the same company, they all have the same colour scheme as well. I have just bought the larger tall ammo safe as well for my shotgun cartridges. A very good item for it's money..... Oh and they are a very good company to deal with.....
  16. Looked at a couple of sights, anything from £70 to £90 new, plus carriage etc. If you trade in a rifle at a RFD he will give you 60% of original cost if in as new condition etc and if he knows you as well. so go on about the 60%(ish)
  17. I will have both sets if anyone pulls out as I am after both sets etc, cheers
