hello all I think you should be ok seting up in the middle of field or near too were the pigeons are feeding .We use this tactic when shooting geese. lying on our backs covering our selfs in loose straw and the amout of pigeons that fly over is unbelivable .probly wont work if you are actuly after shooting the ####### but might be worth a try

Hi their guy just wondering if you can give me some info .I am thinking of buying a rifle ,at the moment i do not have my ticket so witch would be best to go for first .I realy dont whant to have more than one rifle so for a rough shoot (the odd fox ,rabbit ect ) and of course the permition of the police wich would be best to go for . 22lr 22 mag or would i get a fac first time for a 22-250 or 223 .i have shot rifles through the army for a number of years but never botherd to obtain my fac up until now any help to clear this up would help cheers

hi their I must first admit that i am a member of the other shooting club but i have met mr shooter on aday out shooting in yorkshire,and we had a real good chat seems a real nice guy.i have been with the club for 2 years and find it good money no problems with land or acess to feilds .only problem is when you go on new feilds ,as i live in Lancashire 2 hour drive so no time to recy feild night before

HI guys I bought the crow cd and all so the cd speaker booster set up. It came in its own water proof bag . You still need a cd player or caset player but when its all set up in the bag you just unravel the speker wire set the speker out (about 15m of wire )and of you go its very loud not had time to give it a try yet, but i am now on the look out to see if you can get a fox cd.Anybody seen one

I have a similar problem in some feilds i shoot. the wood is on the side of a hill with large mixed trees as of yet i havent had a good bag pigeons of this land i have tryed watching wating till it goes dark decoying few feilds awy ones and twos are all i get! the problem is they come in so high .their is a lot of pigeons but not in range i was thinking of placing a platform up in the wood but it would be a hell of a hight to shoot out of

Hi guys i have about 25 flexi decoys and 15 normal full body .I usuly put them out to gether ,but like to put the flexi ones out first as a sort of trail to see if i am in the right place .lot easyer to move than the others if in wrong end of feild.I dont find them a problem i pack one inside the other allways pop back in shape even after being stored for a few months wilst i work awy.

Hi Guys i think you will find that plastic wads will have a little less recoil as well .most fiber waded shells are 65mm lighter loads to componsat for the extra recoil

look i the engin bay they theiving **** its only been their a few months !not bad considering it was taken away by donky cart their is loads of rock piegons out hear and even one or two woodes pity not brought decoyes with me

Hears my latest project full of fun and stil causing a few problems especialy with the lab :thumbs: but they do get on in a round about way

:PTheir has been more than one fox taken down out hear with 223 (colt m4) Iraqi soilders dont like 223 .Nice caliber pitty have not got the land to shoot in England with one

Hi i yoused camo tape ,I think its ment to be for you barrles but it works a treat its mat and comes in diffrent coulers for all seasons costs about a 5.00 though!

hi guys have you checked that the barrles have not been shortend ?(or bent) Just a thought i now some one who bought a cheep bargin gun but could not hit a thing with it we tryed pattining the gun on wall paper and then had it cheked out with the gun smith turned out it had origanly had 30 in barrles but 2in was missing :oops:Also i had a 410 singel barrle that shot to the right never could hit any thing with it :*) just a thought cheers

Hi chaps just wondering if any one has tryed calling in crows with one of thoughs crow and owl cd's from America ? I think you are allowed to use electronic calls on vermin am i right ,well i have orderd one so we shall see what happens next time i go out

Hi chaps i dont what to step on any bodys foot or try to insult any one . I would just like to know the plus side to having a fac air rifle .Is it easyer to get an air rifle fac. what are the rules with paths and roads are they the same . is their diffrent classes of certificate . Could you shoot an fac air rifle as far as a 22 rifle say round the 100 m mark and still kill say a fox. I have owned air rifles when i was younger, i have allso shot full bore rifles ( up to some silly calibres 12.7 ) so i am very intrested in any coments. where i shoot it would not be possible to yous a full bore rifle so could an air rifle be the anser for fox's? thanks

Hi every one i was wondering has any body ever thought of making pigeon decoys like the American gose decoys? the onces made out of a plastic miatiral ( bit like a bag on a stick thingy) i have quit a number and when their is a good windy day they look realy good and give movment to the picture .I was just thinking ,the idea was brought about by snow geese in canada they see a large number of what they think are geese (decoy bag thingy) and come on down .shurly thats what we are trying to do with all our hevy plastic decoys ? just a thought it would not take much, :*) just cant think of how to put the pigeon gray couler on to a plastic bag as yet

Hi every one Last year wilst out shooting geese we set up in the middle of a stubble feild with decoy's, as their was no drainige dich .we were forced to set up the decoys and lye on our backs in the midle of the field ,we coverd our self's in loose straw and were on the edge of the decoy patern :*) We had a good morning and came away with 3 pinks .At the same time as waiting for the geese their were loads of pigeon's flying over use, and some even came round a second time.Nearly all were in range ,but of coures we were not shooting at them.Has anybody ever shot pigeons like this ? Only draw back to this seems to be a bloody sore neck the day after

Hi well i think a lot of people just like dressing up like army guys and who am i to say any diffrent but the Yanks take things to extrems in every thing they do! IF you think that its dafft having to put camo kit on ,and then puting a red vest on .thats nothing! thats what we had to do in the Army to stop the guys shooting at are tanks spending millions of £ on camo paint and then having to put a bright red flag on top so you dont get blown up
