  1. Does anyone in the south east london area have access to or own a machine shop with a lathe or milling machine in it i could pay them to use? Fancy making a few things. I'm willing to pay! P.s I apologize if i've posted in the wrong section!
  2. I remember looking into this. You're better off using a US Firearms dealer to obtain the gun you want and pay them to get the export license and ship the gun. Rang HMRC a while ago and they said there's no problem at all bringing a gun into the UK as long as you licensed for it, and I'm pretty sure you get charged VAT and duty as well but then again this could only be if it's for commercial use instead of personal use. But as stated on gunrunner.com I believe, unless the gun is very rare or of high value it's not worth your time and money to export and import from the US. Just to add I found out "non resident aliens" can be in possession and acquire firearms and ammunition if you obtain a hunting licence, which is free. Technically going into a tourist shooting range to shoot without a hunting license is breaking state law, at least in Florida it is.
  3. My pet load is the fiocchi top 1 shell. It's 28 gram and 67mm and they ran fine in mine even before i had my ports opened so you could give some 67mm's a try. But defo try the mag spring to see if that makes a difference. Also just remembed it may be down to what barrel length you have as i've been told the ports are different sizes for dif length barrels.
  4. Was the gun new when you got it? I've had a few jams with my one with 28 grams but in talking maybe 1 shot out of 250 where the shell would eject but the unfired one just sitting ontop of the loading gate and the bolt locked back. Pretty much fixed it by stretching the mag spring out and lubing everything up pretty good
  5. Is anyone putting an order in to brownells or midway USA soon that i could add a few pieces to and share the postage? Or is there anyone that would be interested in doing this with me? Thanks
  6. I know a few of these came into the UK via Lantac and missed the deposit window! If anyone who got one of these from that shipment and will gladly take it off your hands for a good price if you'd part with it!
  7. May have my old one sitting around, it was the proper silver one with s16 on it that came with mine. How much are you offering?
  8. i've put 5w30 oil on my remington 1187 and hatsan mag tube/piston and a light coating on the internals. Also used PTFE spray which is good inside the receiver. luckily spotted some Blue Works spray made by WD40 in a cheap shop, they do PTFE, white lithium grease and silicone spray. All work pretty well and there only £1.99 for a 400Ml can
  9. Thanks for the replies! Edgar bros never return emails so i'll have to give them and tmguns a call tomorrow. BTW i think becoming a remington specialist would be a good venture. Even Midway UK ships from the US so there's definately an open market and need for a simple website that ships parts and accessories that are already in the UK straight to consumers without having to go through a RFD
  10. Apart from midway uk or brownells does anyone know where i can get parts for a remington 1187 or 1100 in the UK? Im after a carrier latch as mine snapped and i don't fancy paying £8 postage from midway for something that costs about £4
  11. Beretta mobil chokes fit fine. Had two diffierent brands of beretta mobil chokes fit in my first gen hatsan. Choke height is the same as the factory hatsan chokes. My barrel has never bulged or blown up as many people said it would
  12. Just read up chokes are an accessory and a rifled choke won't make your shotgun section 5.
  13. I'd just say to unscrew the mag tube. My 1st gen wasn't even glued in
  14. Late reply on the topic! But i was always told a rifled choke tube would make your shotgun be considered as a section 5 semi auto rifle
  15. The quote was from Thomas Jefferson 3rd President of the United States. Seems really sad that shooters aren't united when it comes to these sort of matters. How shooters don't seem the be bothered about doing anything about there sport being destroyed. Why do organisations members not join together and have there say and get things like practical handgun back?
  16. Picking up FAC shotgun on saturday from private seller. Anything i need to remember or do with the FAC transfer? Wepon inspection or testing? Serial numbers and addresses? Bill of sale?
  17. Got one from the states few weeks ago. Good piece of kit on my shotty. Was surprised at how good it was compared to rods and brushes and only takes 1 or two pulls and a bit of oil after 250 shells to get my bore back to a mirror shine
  18. Just read that I may be this "forum nutter" I'm not, just an annoyed citizen who wants change to the law. “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
  19. Please could everyone take a minute to sign this petition. It calls for the 1997 and 1988 gun control acts to be repealed. As many of you will hopefully agree, this would be an amazing thing for all British shooters, to have pistols and modern sporting rifles put back in law abiding shooters hands, and, both acts were kneejerk reactions to tragedies that could have been prevented if the police had done their jobs and taken the guns away from the psycho criminals. And we all know these draconian laws have done nothing to prevent firearm crime, it has only damaged the UK shooting industry and shooting sport (even the olympic teams are affected). This petition needs 100,000 signatures to get into the commons which needs a massive push from everyone, so please spread this around anyway you can. Get everyone in the house to sign it, friends, family, gun clubs, other forums, anyway possible. only takes name and address and is on the .gov website so your details are safe. Thanks guys http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/44376
  20. I believe my hatsan is mk1. Got it about 5/6 years ago. It takes beretta mobil chokes but there about 1 thread too long. Nothing a lathe doesn't sort out
  21. Birchwood casey sell one. Caught my eye in the states
  22. i've put high brass buckshot, 36 gram and 50 gram No. 4 shot. apart from the mammoth recoil, the gun worked fine everytime
  23. section 1. Yea i was on the waiting list at saddelry and they said mossberg canceled the order for no reason. Did you hear anything else?
