  2. I dont intend to put anything more than 2 3/4 in the gun, but 650 bar does seem a little low does the 900kg not mean 900kg per sqaure cm ?
  3. good I dont want it blowing up in my face, Ive bought it for my friend to use until he gets his licence and then he can have it for his first gun so dont want it to brake. thanks for the help

  6. Have recently bought a little side x side from a mate for 60 quid, Dont know much about it and would like to know more, what chamber length is how old it is ect. All I know about it is Its a Baikal model 58ma (I think) and made is USSR printed on the right barrel is 12 70 18| 2 M(0,5) 65MPa 900kg left barrel 12 70 18| 2 F(1,0) 900kg there is no date printed on but the first letter of the the serial No is X Can any one give me any info Thanks
  7. Good il order one then cant see bolting it to the floor any real benefit as its going upstair on floor boards so if they get it off the wall ripping it out the floor would be easy. thanks
  8. Going to upgrade to a 5 gun cabinet and have seen this one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4603a72b6f but it only comes with 4 securing bolts and 4 pre drilled holes is this enough as I have my current cabinet secured with 4 bolts to the wall and 4 to a concrete floor. Thanks
  9. Yes if you let them land in the decoys at close enough range for your rifle.
  10. I use H&N field target trophy and AA diablo, but I wondering if a flat head pellet would be any good I know there meant for paper punching but .177 have a reputation for over penetrating, so would a flat head pellet put more energy into the quarry instead of just going straight through ?
  11. I made an electronic call using a 12v lamp battery, mp3 player/phone, Aux lead and one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELECTRONIC-SIREN-WITH-PA-MIC-CAR-ANIMAL-SOUNDS-/280818319411?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4162138033 its a bit bulky with the battery but it works fine maybe not as good quality as the others on the market but I had the stuff to make it lying around so thought Id give it ago.
  12. Have you used WD40 or anything like on it or even down the barrel as it could have run out the barrel soaked into your gun slip causing the blueing to come off in this pattern.

    Gas-ram

I dont want it over power as I have SGC and want to keep it, but I like the idea of putting a gas ram in it as I think the spring may be due for replacing anyway as its about 7yrs old now so a gas ram may be a good replacement, any one got a link to were I could buy said gas ram, cheers.

    Gas-ram

Thinking of selling my springer and getting a gas ram break barrel/under lever, only want to spend 200-270 anyone got any advice of what to get or should I just keep my springer its a bsa lightning .22. Thanks
  17. Yeah apparently with bb or larger it can make the pattern spread more not sure if its true so thought Id go for 1/2 and 1/4 just to make sure.
  18. I have just changed mine from open bore and improved to 1/4 and 1/2 hopefully this should keep the pattern tight enough but I dont want to over choke as I hear it can make the pattern spread more than the slacker chokes.
  19. Very nice guns, well done on the fox btw, what chokes did you use ?
  20. Will stick with the BBs then for now I have changed chokes since to try and hold the pattern abit tighter, I doubt anyone was watching since it was pitch black and the only close neighbours are the 2 co-owners of the land which are both ok with us killing the fox, cant be any worse than catching them in a trap at least it wasnt in disdress for hours.
  21. Thanks for the comments everyone, was thinking of using AAA cartridges next time but I know there is issues on the pattern of these but they should pack more of a punch.
