  1. Shot a few coming into roost other week and they had been feeding on berrys had crops jammed full of them.
  2. Nothing like opening a can of worms Sorry posted in wrong section by mistake. I only asked out of interest im not goin pheasant stalking I shoot shotgun mostly rough shooting but if one was on the ground and it didnt fly off I would shoot it and eat it.
  3. thanks for the replys, I didnt think it was right, just making sure.
  4. I was told the other day by a fellow shooter that it is illegal to shoot pheasant on the ground and carrys a £1000 fine under conservation laws. is this true ? Thanks.
  5. I dont understand what you're getting at Im not saying a 12bore would not do the job but at more or less point blank range that power is not needed a .410 would suffice just fine and not make a huge bang and splatter the trap up to much.
  6. Id used my hushpower .410 for the job its quiet and not overkill like 12bore, I have no doubt a 12ft lb could kill a fox but would rather use a shotgun.
  7. Try your local gunsmith if they cant do they will probably know someone who can.
  8. I find Aldi fruit and veg fairly good, and Ive been told they are from the same supplier as Marks and Spencers
  9. Il take an olive handle no8 please pm me, cheers
  10. Had a bad infestation of mice once in a shed with rabbit hutches in and they nested behind the hutches i set 4 traps and got 2/3 mice on every trap, they even started eating there dead family on the traps !
  11. Thanks I will get him to have a proper go but he may just not be interested at all and not bother. as the rifle shooting he would be fine with thats as he could use one left handed more easily, hes 52 and not blind in a sense hes disabled with it he drives and works ect
  12. il check it out ans get him to do some clays, he did try them once left handed but he moaned it didnt feel right
  13. Thats the problem I dont want to spend 30 quid for nothing, Im guessing that his left eye would now be the dominant eye as its the only one with good clear vision but does it work in that way any one know ?
  14. Ive been brewing on and off for a couple of years and had limited success never been overly impressed with my brews until recently, I bought a coopers english bitter and enhancer but I left it in the fermenter for about 15-16 days and added a beer finings a couple of days before bottling it but its turned out great cleared a treat its been in the bottles just over 2 weeks now and Ive been drinking the odd one and its great still not aged enough yet but its crystal clear. have got a canadian blonde fermenting at the moment.
  15. Hi all, I have been looking at these http://www.easyhit.co.uk/ easyhit sights do they really work ? The reason I ask is my dad is nearly blind in his right eye and is right handed and I would like to take him shooting, hes been nearly blind in his right eye for about 20years would this mean the his left eye will have become the dominant eye over the years ? So would one of these work to shoot right handed and use your left eye ? Thanks for the help.
  16. Thanks for all the feedback. will be getting it very soon
  17. at £295 its a good price the one I looked at seemed a solid bit of kit and looked good and multi choke too might have to treat my self sooner now
  18. think I might treat myself for chritmas then
  19. Seen one brand new the other day not sure of the exact model but it was a black synthetic pump action multi choke and came with 5 chokes for £295, looks a lot of gun for the price, what are they like ? good value ? Thanks

    U CALLER

Yes they are my mates got one works well although they are expensive for what they are, I also made my own in a similer way as above.
  21. Im only stating their claims, I wouldnt take a shot at anything at 90 yrds with a shotgun as my shooting abilities arnt good enough to even hit it never mind wound or kill it.
  22. Looks good mate, but spent less than 8 quid on this as i still have loads left was thinking of doing the whole gun but wanted to see what it looked like on the barrels first.
  23. I used 50grm BB mammoth hi-birds on fox and according to their website they can take geese out cleanly at 90yrds.
  24. Not tried that yet so dont know but I used a heat lamp to help it stick so presume it will just soften up slighty but to be honest I dont think it will have enough shots through it at once to get it got its a rough shooting/hide gun so not like on clays shot after shot
  25. Seen a few my mates had a few with his airgun they come in to magpie calls it really makes them mad to hear a magpie and they give away there position.
