  1. Just wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere nice in the lakes thats dog friendly for a few days away. Don't mind if its a hotel or a pub etc just somewhere nice and clean and friendly. Any advice or tips please?
  2. I struggle to find places to pigeon shoot, i shoot a lot of game during the season but really find it difficult to gain permissions due to working so many hours and everywhere already having people on their land. And i've also found people arent interested in helping out if you dobt post a lot on the forum, problem being I dont really write a lot but i'm on here every day
  3. Holy moses and that road really get the people racing along it too, thats one lucky driver
  4. I've got one, done 25k in a year, 4 years old now and only had general servicing and preventative maintanance. Been a crack car, you know what your getting when you buy one but never had any issues, been remapped by twisted so it sees around 30-32mpg with 160bhp and 440torques. Worth doing if you get one
  5. We did it on 21st june so the longest day, started at 5pm at nevis and by the time we hit scafell it was just coming to dawn so all three walks were done in the light, we pushed hard one the first two and pottered up snowdon and did it easily in the 24hours. Definately have a dedicated driver tho its so much easier. We stayed in a lovely hotel in fort william and had a skin full the night before and a good meal, gives you most of the day to explore fort william before you start too
  6. If your anywhere near york/beverley area theres a really good little land rover specialist called JAS land rover that i use
  7. I have a puma engined defender tuned by them and its a load better than standard, would love a v8 one!
  8. So a little update, took them to 2 different houses over the last 2 days and out and about socialisig and training and they seem to be getting the hang of it! Fine in back of land rover, one little scuffle so i sprayed them both in face with a water bottle and it stopped them immediately!!! Fingers crossed
  9. Yeah its really hard! When labs laid out on floor and pup goes up he gets a warning grumble then if he tries to play he gets a bit of a shove about or held down but earlier it went to far and he flung puppy into fire place. Everyone local said it'll sort itself in a few days but i'm half worried for what he might do! Labs 2.5years and i've never and i mean never seen him so much as gripe at another dog
  10. I might have worded that wrong, he most definately knows his place but whag i ment was that he doesnt want the puppy near me, like he's my dog, he knows when he's told to back off and does. I think he maybe feels threatened? The missus has been doing everything for pup while i deal with lab but its just not working. Never seen her so upset, tried leaving them to it and he gets a bit too rough, tried keeping them chilled and thats not working! Not enjoying it at all and its such a shame cos springers a lovely little dog
  11. Just after some help really, we recently got a 12week old springer dog. Our 2.5year old lab had met him numerous times before we collected him and all was fine. We collected him on monday and it has been a nightmare! The lab constantly snarls and shoves the puppy around and the poor little fella is terrified and wees himself when the lab goes towards him! Both are indoor dog that sleep seperately, also the lab is super protective over me and he hates me being near the spaniel. Any ideas on what to do? The missus is constantly crying cos she thinks springer will have to go cos we cant have them doing this. Cheers
  12. I recently bought an 11plate 'x-tech' thats been slightly modified by twisted. Its my day to day car doing 500miles a week and i don't actually find it that uncomfortable or noisy! Its very different to a car but i'm really happy with it...providing it doesn't break! Happily keeps up with the flow of traffic, but its not cheap on diesel
