  1. Morning all, So my girlfriend is getting more and more into shooting. So is considering getting her license and own gun in time, instead of using my guns that are too heavy for her. She is tall & skinny (and has twig arms) so finds supporting the weight of the gun for long periods of time demanding. My thoughts is get her a lightweight 28" 12b. This is due to 20b cartridge costs and just for the convince factor of only having to stock one cartridge bore in the home. Now the 12b Beretta Ultralight weighs in less than a standard Beretta 20b, which she has shot before and is fine with. This weighs a mere 5.9lbs. Stock dimensions should be fine (can be altered anyway) and was thinking of just putting a 21g or 24g cartridge in there. So can anyone else suggest any other lightweight 12b that are available? Or has any arguments pro vs cons on the 12b / 20b for females. Many thanks, Mark
  2. Yes it is. However, why wouldn't you go for the tired and tested Benelli M2? Or a cheaper option the Mossberg JM Pro?
  3. http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/270252-semi-auto-club/page-12 Few photos there My brother has one which I store for him and have shot it a fair bit. I absolutely love it, if I could only have one semi-auto it would be a benelli. Then if I could only have one benelli it would be the Raffaello Black. Have you shot a Benelli auto before? This gun: Great looking Light Easy to clean Reliable Cycles everything (2.5" and 24g) Progressive comfort stick works really well, better than the comfortec IMO Fixes everything that was wrong with the older benelli (stiff shell stop, never bumps out of battery) Enlarged bolt release I really think you can't go wrong with this gun and will be a great seller. For a Benelli and what you are getting I don't think it's outrageously priced. So if you haven't noticed yet..... My opinion of them is very high!
  4. My 26" Maxus was the same total length as my B725 in 30" Shorter the better for a hide gun. I have M2 in 24" for that very reason. Seeing as 26" is as short as you can go on the Maxus, look out for one of them. However they don't come up often
  5. I'm gutted Daf! I live in Berkshire and was hoping to come see you in the not to distant future. Will have to find someone else now. I heard good things about you
  6. Excellent can't go wrong with either! Nice wood there, c-let choke, tang safety...... Reliable as hell..... Cheap to repair if the worse happens. Win. Welcome to pump club!
  7. Give them a ring, speak to Fiona. She will tell you where your local audiologist is. You can either get it all organised through them. Or the alternative is to find anyone to take your impressions and post them direct. They will then deduct the cost of impressions off total cost.

  9. 4.6mm my guess. Looks like a dummy, dry training round. Does it even have a primer in the bottom?
  10. My Maxus Grade 3 is for sale: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/276274-browning-maxus-grade-3-12-gauge/ http://www.gunwatch.co.uk/guns/9330-Browning-Maxus-Grade-3-for-sale
  11. This is my gun btw If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Cheers, Mark Price changed to £900 - hasn't changed in Advert though.....
  12. Couldn't agree with that article anymore.
  13. I have no idea about the Birdcage muzzle if it had any advantage or not. I suppose you could class it as being ported so in theory would reduce muzzle flip. But all nonsense and in my opinion looks a ugly as sin! As for the tri-rail.... You pretty much fit anything to it that has a picinitay attachment. Grips, pods, lights, lazers etc.... Search back in this thread you will see pictured my mates 590 "big ed" who has got all sorts attached to his forend rail.
  14. Get the solid muzzle not the bird cage one. The non tri-rail is nice to pump as you have more surface area to grab. However the speedfeed stock is a nice touch. Tough call
  15. £80 + vat They are at the shooting show this weekend if you are there? If you decide to get your impressions locally and send them in, they will deduct the cost of what you paid for your impressions off that price. Doing my research they are the cheapest / most regarded product. Never heard a bad word on them, they are supposed to be the best filter plug (without electronics) for having a normal conversation. Better than the sonic valves in my opinion as they also protect your ears from other harmful frequencies not just shooting. Good for me as I also ride a motorcycle.
  16. The carbon rib is on the model called the Power Bore. Silver action, better grade of wood & of course the carbon rib. Think it's going to be around £2k
  17. Hi Darren, I would prefer face to face, but if it hasn't sold in a while I would consider RFD'ing it. However I will also be at the shooting show on Friday....
