  1. Thanks. I'll do this soon, and also ask my daughter to check it for me as well.
  2. Just did that and another 'page' opened up with CNQSG and underneath that wiatwain .ds
  3. To be honest, I'm not sure. I just reinstalled everything on the disc that came with the scanner.
  4. I had to refresh some of the settings on my desktop computer, and then had to reinstall the printer and the above scanner. I had the drivers for both. The printer works okay but for some reason the scanner doesn't. While trying to scan an item, a message states 'Unable to open TWAIN sourxe. Check connection and re-scan. I've check the connection and everything is as it should be. I'm using Windows 8:1 and it worked okay before the refresh. I haven't a clue what to do next. Any help/suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
  5. The above actress passed away yesterday at the age of 79. R.I.P. Ruth.
  6. Sad of course, but if and when you decide to end her misery/pain etc, you will know you will have done the right thing. In the meantime, read the poem 'The Last Battle'.
  7. Received today and very pleased with them. Thanks.
  8. Would you be happy to post if I covered packaging and postage and your time please? I'm desperate for some and would welcome these.
  9. In my home, I have smoke detectors (mains wired/battery backup) heat detectors and a carbon monoxide detector fitted.
  10. This is our boiler pipework which can't be seen when looking directly at the cupboard it's fitted in.
  11. Both now sold pending usual. Hopefully, more will be available in the near future.
  12. I bought a new (2021) Duster 1.3 petrol and it's excellent. The boot opens by pressing a button under the letter 'T' on the boot lid. It's quiet to run, plenty of power and I get 45-48 mpg which is excellent considering the hills etc where I live. The one thing that I don't like is that you cannot adjust the timing on the intermittent wipers. The set time is sometimes too slow but there's not enough rain to put them on constant.
  13. I don't qualify for EC04 scheme I'm glad to say. I have a few options regarding having new combi boiler fitted. Two friends of mine, who are Gas Safe registered have offered to fit it. I can either buy the boiler myself or then can supply and fit. The boiler will carry a 5 or 10 year parts and labour warrany but I would have to pay to have it serviced yearly. I'm looking at a Baxi 825 combi boiler to possibly purchase myself and then pay whatever labour/fitting costs. Or perhaps it may work out cheaper to hvae a boiler supplied and fitted.
  14. It's long winded. For you both to aqquire another/different moderator, you have to 'sell' or 'dispose' of the one you have now. When i bought a different moderator (via a RFD) he took my original one and gave me a receipt for it. I then had to inform the police ( firearms dept) that I had sold it and also had to request them to open a slot so that I could buy another one. Stupid rules but that's it!. You and your mate would have to do the same, as you can't sell him your moderator until he 'disposes' of the one he has now (unless he has another slot for one) and the same applies with him selling one to you.
  15. Thank you I'm holding on in mentioning his name/company but word will get out about him for sure. I meant to add that Barclaycard are going to pursue the trader to recoup their money. I wish them luck as he is a limited company and only has £830 in his business account according to Companies House. I am just glad I paid the deposit using my Barclaycard and would advise everyone to do the same.
  16. UPDATE: The cheating SCUMBAG who has done me out of £1000 is still insisting that he is still trading, despite records from Companies House showing that he is not. Yesterday I sent him a text asking him to show proof that he had started the refund process back to my Barclaycard. I can't print what he replied, apart from he insisted that he has. Today, I have received a refund from Barclaycard for the full amount. I checked this with them earlier to see who actually paid it.
