  1. I fitted the largest set of plugs that came with them with that in mind welshwarrior. I phoned up the shop where I bought them to say they were no good. They have asked me to write a letter stating my issues with them so they can see if they can get a refund for me from the supplier! Shop won't give me a refund directly though which I think is a little harsh, and probably against my statutory rights too to be honest?!
  2. Just want to warn other PW members not to bother buying these ear plugs if you see them. I bought some this morning for £35, then went to my local clay ground to try them out. Well, they amplify sounds reasonably enough and don't distort too much either. However, they do not protect your ears from the gunshot! After firing 5 shots, I found myself flinching and needed to change them out for regular foam earplugs because of ringing in my ears!!! There is no NRR rating on the packaging and now I can see why! Total waste of money! :-(
  3. I tried the gamebore evo in 24g, and thought they were very smooth in the recoil. Just as soft as the comp x 21g IMO.
  4. Saw this gun in the shop at Kibworth last weekend! Looks like its a professional job, if not a factory option?!
  5. @chady, Think it might be a bit late for that. Think he's already married?! He has called her his "wife"
  6. Buy her a spa day voucher. That way it just comes through the post like a letter - really discrete. And then when she gone for her day out, you can go shooting! ;-)
  7. I shoot Eley olympics. They shoot fairly smooth, give good enough breaks for me, and only cost £45 per 260, and £160 odd for a thou. :-)
  8. I have a manfrotto, and the quality is superb!
  9. Welcome to PW!! Hope you find what youre looking for. :-)
  10. Hello and welcome to PW! :-)
  11. Looks fantastic!! Glad you got round to posting some photos up! Makes me want to make a case for my old AYA! :-)
  12. Would match up lovely with my multiplier reel I have for sale too probably!! GLWTS! ;-)
  13. After finding a few more examples for sale, I have changed the sale price to a much more reasonable £50 ono. ;-)
  14. Ok, here I have what I have been told is quite a sought after Abu baitcastor fishing reel. It is a 5000D model. The "D" stands for direct drive and makes this particular reel rarer than others in the 5000 range. It was made in Sweden in December 1973 (you can tell this by the serial number in the pic below - the 1st 2 numbers=year, 2nd 2 numbers=month), and apart from a couple of minor scuffs, is in very good condition. It is a very aesthetically pleasing thing to look at, and the pictures don't really do the anodised bottle green finish and chrome justice! I have tried to research online to find its approximate value, and after finding some examples now I have changed the price down to £50 posted. Please find photos below. Please PM me for any questions, or more pics. Thanks for looking.
  15. Yes. At least that is what I have found when researching the age of my Miroku.
  16. Lol! Probably right! Or crash into a corsa.......
  17. More vauxhall Corsas are sold in the uk than say....Bentleys. But I know which one I would have on my drive. Just sayin........ ;-)
  18. I'm on here (obviously!), smashing clays, shootclay, and s2ki (Honda s2000 owners club). Always a great source of knowledge, information, strong opinions, keyboard warriors, hilarity, and reasons to spend money I don't have! :-)
  19. Lovely!! Good for you matey! And as I and others have said, get some photos up! We all love a good gun photo! :-)
  20. Welcome to PW mate. Best advice for finding a permission is to just get a map, find some local farms, and knock on their doors and ask them. Good luck with it, I haven't managed to find one for myself yet either. ;-)
  21. Fantastic offer! Respect to you sir! PM sent.
  22. Yes. I would. I didn't straight away, and it turned black! :-0
  23. You may find that the essence will rise to the surface like it did with mine, and you can "skim" it off. Can you see a yellow coloured layer on the surface before shaking it? (a bit like oil sits on water).
