  1. Lightforce 240 complete with remote handle in excellent condition. This was a backup lamp for use in my own truck for if ever our lamping truck refused to start. It's set into plywood as I used to wind back the sunroof and drop this into place, (saved drilling the roof). The lamp comes complete with amber filter. £100 inc postage. (Not including the plywood.....)
  2. Musto clay shooting jacket, windproof, waterproof, very warm. Size Large. Very good condition, no tears or pulls. This coat has always been waterproof but did let me down once at the Classic this year. Torrential rain all day it did get a bit damp on one shoulder, I don't know whether this was through the coat or down the neck, hence the price. £50 inc postage. Musto Windstopper jacket, very warm, excellent condition, no tears or pulls etc. £50 inc postage.
  3. Having a clearout, all the following are in 'as new' unused condition. Buck Vanguard, stainless blade, rubber handle, complete with sheath. £40 inc postage Gerber 3 'swap' blade kit complete with sheath. £40 inc postage Gerber field butchery kit, each component has it's own sheath, all housed in a carry bag. £45 inc postage
  4. Cabinet now sold, thankyou for looking.
  5. Buffalo River 10 gun cabinet, gold series (Digital Keypad), fully carpet lined, plenty deep enough for large scoped rifles with bipods. This model does not have the internal locking box so is also high enough for long shotguns etc. Dimensions - H: 150cm x W: 65cm x D: 40cm Similar to this one: http://www.uttings.co.uk/Product/666/109105/buffalo-river-q4320-lcd-gold-series-gun-safe-black-q4320 Currently retailing at around £480, I am asking £250. Collection only due to size & weight.
  6. A trick I've used in the past on an unwilling dog is to cut the wings off the pheasant and tie them to her favorite dummy. Having said that 12 months is still young so don't push her too hard.
  7. I've never had either large or small rifle primer failures in 30 years of reloading. If they are new I would take them back to the RFD and get him to exchange them. If they are not new I would dispose of them and buy some new ones.
  8. I have an immaculate Extrema 2 Black Synth to sell Dale. To my knowledge it doesn't have the Aqua coating, but as far as I know the same thing can be achieved by a good clean after use. Currently it's FAC but I'm about to have crimped tube replaced and put back on SGC. PM me if this is of interest and I can sort out some photo's etc.
  9. If you don't have any luck getting it done locally let me know, I can sort that for you, all it will cost is the postage.
  10. A couple of years ago I bought some Badger mounts (Rather expensive but meant to be one of the best at the time) for a Remington that I was building. As I was dropping an £1800 'scope on it I decided to lap the rings in. To see how much lapping was needed just to get the rings into alignment was very scary, and for certain would have put undo stress on my very expensive 'scope. That is when I decided that Optilocks and their inserts were in fact a very good idea, no more lapping, and piece of mind that my 'scopes were not being put under unnecessary stresses by out of aligned scope rings. I do understand your thoughts on single screw fastening etc, but as a base/ring/insert assembly I think they are a damned good design, and the proof most definitely is in the pudding, after many years use and abuse on working rifles.
  11. I've been using Optilocks on my Sako's for many years and never had an issue with them. They are easy to fit (IMO), they don't lose zero if you have to remove/replace the scope, they don't mark the scope tube. No design flaw as far as I can see.
  12. Jamie, by now you will have realized that there is good info, not so good info, and absolute rubbish spoken on this forum. By far and away the best thing you could do is spend some time with someone that is experienced in reloading, that way you will gain a good, safe grounding that will set you up. I'm about an hour away from you, so if you don't mind taking a half day out and driving over to the Daventry area, I'll be happy to show you the basics, load some ammo using your kit, and test it at one of my test ranges.
  13. Why not just go for a simple piece of plywood that you can staple your targets to, then use a natural safe backstop? Much cheaper and much lighter.
  14. Take a look here http://www.nissan-navara.net/
  15. Yes, get the stock off a.s.a.p. that way you can get the back of the action dried out and re-greased. As said above let the woodwork dry out slowly though.
  16. :good: I know plenty of people who work hard for a living, who can't afford to drink, smoke, go on holidays, or have expensive hobbies, so why should those living on benefits be able to afford it. I think vouchers with ID photo is a very good idea!!!

    Ideas wanted

So you'll be getting Mrs Pav a white suit and hat then?
  18. I kept and worked lurchers in my yoof, my best being a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie that was given to me by the local hunt kennelman as a thankyou for helping him over the years. That bitch was the fastest, cleverest, sneakiest, most faithful dog I have ever owned god bless her. She passed away in her sleep aged 16 and was by far the toughest dog to get over.
