Unfortunately, after assesing many posts on PW over the past few years, I think that a great deal of foxes shot by PW members are shot 'because they are foxes' and can be bragged about in a **** swinging excercise.

The case is aluminium exterior with egg case foam interior. It has two buckles, two key locks and one combination lock. The Aluminium case is airline approved and can be taken on flights. The internal dimensions of the case are 46 1/4" x 11 1/4". (1175mm x 286mm). Used half a dozen times so has a few 'baggage handler' scratches/knocks etc, but nothing that changes the integrity or security of the case. Looking for £50 inc postage.

At least al4x and CharlieT each gave sensible and knowledgeable replies, amongst the idiotic ones who really don't have a clue.

My view on this is...... It totally depends on what you want the rifle for, vermin/fox, deer stalking, long range, target etc. Decide what you want it for, then match the rifle to your needs. Why spend large money on a custom, when you can spend MUCH less on a quality factory rifle that may meet your needs perfectly. Then spend the remainder on quality glass and reloading components. I shoot 2nd hand Sako 75's (One has a Border cut rebarrel) as I think they are excellent quality for the money, and can outshoot many full custom rifles (As was proven this past weekend at 1200yds!) with quality glass and homeloads. My bog standard Sako 75 varmint in .223 punches fingernail groups with 50gn Blitzkings, and single hole groups with 73gn Berger match.

No more accurate Mick, it just speeds up the whole process as you can seat your bullet whilst the next load is trickling.

I've had two for a long time. I personally leave mine set at 10x mag for lamping. The only time I use a higher mag whilst lamping is for definite ID (i.e. Fox laid up in a hedge, zoom in to be 100% certain of ID). I've also never found the Nightforce to cause me any problems on dusk/dawn low light shooting.

A ladder trap will be far more effective than a rifle. A ladder trap will work all the time, not just when you are there.

Northants are OK for fox and deer for .243. I also managed to get vermin on mine. I didn't have a smaller centrefire at that time though. When I put in a variation for .223 they removed the vermin condition for the .243 at the same time, but left fox and deer.

I failed to source one in the UK Sprags, and non of our engineering suppliers could source one either. Then I found our friendly Northampton Gunsmith has one! Give him a bell.

Co-terminus just means that they will both expire, and therefore become due for renewal, at the same time. You still have seperate SGC and a FAC. It saves a few £ on the renewal fee.

One of the farms I shoot backs on to Boddington Res (Good shooting to be had flighting the Canada's off there!). The water level is definitely rising now that the Clattercote gates are fixed. I was pigeon shooting there at the weekend and a couple of the lads who fish it regularly confirmed that it was fishing very well!

KG12 copper remover, not ammonia based so not nasty. Used alongside KG1 carbon remover. Excellent results in all my rifles.

Yes. A different Mod could change the barrel harmonics. Always check zero just to be safe.
